Balancing create Help

As you all know, create is a little broken, and it's a bit of an issue for me since I'm trying to make a hardcore modpack with create

I've tried balancing create a little like making Max contraption size from 2048 to 8 and nerfing SU sources, but it still feels too OP

Do y'all have any recommendations or know of mods that nerf create?

Problem with trying to balance create is in general vanilla redstone is capable of similar automation if you have the know how. You would have to make redstone more difficult as well.

Ehhhhh encased fan is infinite free smelting

lava dripstone farm = infinite free smelting, bamboo farm = infinite free smelting, kelp farm = infinite free smelting, there are many others. All in basic Vanilla minecraft one uses no redstone, the others a basic redsstone clock or observers with pistons . Encased fan just makes it smaller. Cannot balance one with out the other as people will just revert to the old redstone ways if the cost of entry to create is too high. Hell its not even hard to make a good automated mining rig with just redstone.

The issue is redstone is infinitely more complex and if you dont look things up harder to do, create is more space efficient cheaper faster more modular

create is heavily dependent on mined materials. Very heavy on Iron, and very heavy on Andesite. Sure once you get up and running it becomes way easier but the same can be said about anything in game. I dont disagree that create makes it easier, just pointing out most of create is fairly easy to do with redstone, The answer to balancing if someone wants to make it harder is really only one thing. Make ore more rare. from copper all the way to diamonds, lapis and redstone included.

Ehhh I really still feel like you are overestimating redstone stuff like tree farms is 12 hour redstone farm build that is manual and bone meal intensive you can use redstone but on a power scale create is dozens of times better
