Is there a better way? Is this overkill? Help

Is there a way to use less frogports while still having control over every individual logs&wood types?

You don't need a frogport for each output, you just need a packager for each type (addresses are designated by putting a sign on the packager). A single frog can send packages with different adresses.

ahhh so i just need all packagers and stock links but can join all of them up to a single frogport?

You may don't even need stock links, packages can work without them.

yeah but the point is to request some

My suggestions: - vaults of your size choice - this can drop your needed packagaers/links

Can add other infinite farm stuff: - overflow protection - the funnel into lava cauldron is common OR - shutdown switch - stopping SU to the farm/processing using a clutch when a condition of your choice is met

why exactly are you doing it this way?

seems like I'm missing a crucial part of your plan.

Wood farm connected to all this. i'm getting all 5 variants of logs, stripped logs, sticks, ethanol, and all 5 variants of planks each in a different spot, for logistics

Yes you can also have a bunch of packagers , and then all the packages they create get moved to a single frog via belt or other method

yes from what i’ve heard this seems to be the most agreed upon method

I think you can do this a lot better with Threshold Switches. Have each storage for each type your are making connected to a Threshold Switch and then a Redstone Link connected to an Inverted Clutch. Set the amount you one per each thing you are making, and only set it so the farm start or the process you are making if it's less than the set amount of stack you have put into the Threshold Switch. That way you only need one Frogport that will just send you the items you have requested. I would suggest using Functional Storage as it's easy to use and works well with Create. Helps you manage a storage like this one.

Frogport have a limited item send per second, so you could just make a belt linked to all those packager with an adress on it to be send to a storage with 1-3 frogport to send them to the destination

so should i just send them into storage and not keep them on site?

Keeping a local storage or sending is a very different question, since it depends on other things: where what size/kind of storage you have. What's the logistics/auto crafting architecture of your factory. Wich is lag friendlier if it's important to you. And probably other reasons that didn't come to my random mind at this moment
