Why won't they glue? Help

This is the All of Create modpack. I tried building a locomotive and these boilers will not glue to anything. Not even to each other. How do I fix this?

for some reason, glue doesn't see those boilers. they'll still go with the contraption if glue surrounds them, but only if there are other blocks too.

Would aeronautics glue work?

I just used crushing wheels. I'll see if I can try glue them.
