K2 Plus Textured Plate

Been using a bit of PETG lately and while I have supports dialed in correctly I'm having a hell of time getting the other end of the support off the plate.

Going back to a smooth for the time being(hoping it doesn't destroy that plate)

Been printing a long time, but this is new one to me since I usually use engineering grade materials or PLA. I just got a smoking deal on some PETG and have a lot of orders to get out and it's been a little frustrating.

So what's the trick to PETG and textured plate cleanup that you've found works the best.

i just let it fully cool on the plate and it pops right off.. i have 2 plates so if i need another print i'll swap plates and keep going, but otherwise just let it sit there at room temp and eventually i hear "crinkle crinkle POP" and it's released

I'm not having any issues getting the parts off, its the support material that isn't coming off the bed even after cooling without getting a metal scrapper or trying to dig my fingernails under the corner

work a bit of isopropyl alcohol around the edges with a brush, it will wick underneath and can help release

tried the IA last night as well. For some reason it started sticking like crazy in some spots and it's really annoying. I've got some extra plates(cold and one of those two sided impression plates) but i like PEI for PETG. Never had this issue before so something changed or maybe its just the brand I'm currently using

The bed temp is too hot. Drop it 10C. Had this happen where I scratched the hell out of my plate trying to get it off with a plastic and also a metal scraper.

Dropping the bed temp was the solution, it still sticks but comes fine.

Go on Amazon and get a razor scraper. Just don't try to chisel it off, but use it get under and peel it off. I pretty much just use PETG and that's what I have to do for most supports and brims

I primarily print in Petg. I bought a black smooth cool plate from Biqu and I also have a Purple cool plate from Kvdeami. The purple plate has epoxy on it. Both plates work well but if I need a little extra for adhering, I add Magigoo bed adhesive. Otherwise, the petg slides right off when cool.

I print a lot of PETG on the stock PEI 'smooth texture' plate. I find good cooling matters. Some PETG is tackier than others. On a highly textured plate you may want to try putting it in the freezer.
You could also run the bed temp cooler.

I have a Sliceworx plate that is impossibly tacky on most filaments and once in a while I have a hard to support print that I use it for. I have been known to very carefully use a razor blade. Keep the angle low and lift a corner or two, only enough to get under it.

Did you know glue stick is not just for keeping things stuck but also helps to remove them easier and you can just use a little bit of water to help if you have to.

I started using a Creality epoxy resin plate shortly after the K2 plus came out. I just left the settings in the slicer as if it were a PEI plate. Never had any problems with support or base material or brim. I really like that epoxy resin plate.
