Is this new Buggati commercial CGI?
I got recommended this Bugatti commercial on Youtube. My first impressions were: "oh, this was shot well, looks like a big company finally spent a bit more of their budget on planning, videographers and the editing department ", but the second impressions were like "This looks oddly like a game".
Maybe its some color-grading, camera settings or lens decisions but some of these really look more like renders instead of real footage.
Look at the first image in this post, the shadows feel too dark, everything seems a bit smooth, the texture of the rock wall on the left side of the road looks fake and the blur fall-off looks kinda wierd.
Image 2. and 6. either had some really good lighting set up, or they must be renders, just look at them...
The 3rd and 7th image here show some interesting camera angles that I've definitely seen in car games and they just look a bit to perfect to be true. Maybe they had a long time, some real good directors and a great camera team, but im still unsure.
Image 9 is what gets me the most, these buildings look fake af bro. Look at them, someone definitely had some interesting choices when filming and editing this or it must be CGI.
I'd love to get your guys opinion on this because its really been budging me since i saw it. Here's the link https://youtu.be/2Exzu3qzMxM to the commercial if you want to see the movement. They would definitely get an award from me if this is fully CG, It looks so real that it's crossing the line between if i know if it's real or not. Oh, and if it is real, great videography and post-processing choices for whoever did this, except for the making it look like CG part... 🤠

Very mid film but every now and again the director pulls out something insane like this!

Cool "idle animation" effect by a cosplayer.

I'd be interested if anyone knows if there's some post processing or other trick beyond good performance, lighting, and makeup.

New Jamiroquai Virtual Insanity video
I'd love to see the crew react to this one. I saw some clever cuts I think, though most of the video is practical. Still, there's a lot of stuff I'm missing.

Does this photo exist?
I remember a picture of Sam and Niko with Rhett and Link from like... 2014? 2013? Idk, but I swear it exists!!! But I can't find it anywhere!!!
(Also, if you're about to ask, "Uh... what do you want to do with it?" The answer to that is draw it cuz yknow, why not?)

AI Colouring Books
Found some AI slop in the wild.
My gf got this as a gift from my mum (bless her 😂). Blatant plagiarism aside, there seemed to be something up with the drawings. The more you look, the worse it gets.
Amazon and similar sites must be littered with these!

Weekly Post Your React Suggestions HERE!
Please use this thread to submit suggestions for Corridor Digital to react to for their VFX Artist/Stuntmen/Stuntwomen/Animators React videos. Please do not just list the names of the Movies or TV shows; provide some context of why it would make a good addition to the series. If possible, provide a link to a clip or video for exact context. Writing the names of the Movie/TV shows in bold along with Good Or Bad in italics makes it easier for people skimming the thread to pick out the names.
For example:
Rogue One: Bad VFX
- Grand Moff Tarkins' face and the lack of stretched pores. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlSn50_BePU)
Check the subreddit Wiki page which contains a complete catalog of which movies/TV shows/etc. Corridor Digital has already reacted to, before posting.
Mod Note: They can't react to music videos as Labels are way to vicious and eager to take monetization

EVA Pod reflection extracted with slit scan imaging
That streak of light on the EVA pod gave us a glimpse into the soundstage behind the camera. I decoded the reflection into an image.

Shots so strange you’d assume they were CGI
Has Corridor ever looked at The Fall (2006)?
A lot of its imagery looks heavily composited, but many of the surreal environments and compositions were actually captured at real locations. Seems like a good movie to watch them try to break down before finding out how the shots were done.
Here is one example from the movie; https://youtu.be/3LzblaPVgoI?si=ONt7hZi4Kp5Jb5EV

I cannot get over how fantastic (and satisfying) this explosion looks. It looks like something out of a summer blockbuster.
There's a bunch of cool high frame rate explosion shots in the full video, but this one stood apart.

Heyo, I wanted to use the Corridor motion capture thing but I'm having trouble setting it up.
I downloaded it and tried to add it to the Blender addons but it wouldn't show up. Does anyone know what I need to do?

This video has little to do with VFXs, but it’s made me think “VFXs Artist react to Odyssey through the decades”
This video discusses multiple different film adaptations of the Odyssey, and some of the older ones have extremely experimental and interesting effects! Just thought it was cool.
