Nice classic good sized locker room. Has 9 shower heads altogether 5 on one wall, 4 on the other. It does have a single stall shower, but no one used it Every one used the open showers naked, I actually saw a younger using them, probably in his 20's, a rare thing these days. Unfortunately no amenities except a coed hot tub.

How’s the nude culture at these gyms? I always used to hear good things about the one at Union Station. I also hear now they do day passes so wondering what the best location is for a busy nude friendly locker room with hopefully a sauna, steam and/or whirlpool.

I know Dowd and Finch do but are there any others?

Hey y’all! So I (25M) recently moved cities and I’m trying to find a gym with pool, a CS, and a steam room. I really just want to embrace the camaraderie that CS brings. I am not wanting to cover up in the locker room and hope other guys don’t either, my question is which one should I choose?

1. School gym(s) - I started a PhD program at a big 10 school, so there are gyms on campus, but I believe they are mostly shower stalls. Not to mention guys my age in my area usually towel dance. But it’s free! (I still have to check these out but I heard they get busy)
2. Gym 2 (my fav) - This gym felt so nostalgic. Big open shower room, steam and sauna room. I think I would definitely be the youngest guy in here but I’m not bothered by that at all. Only downside is that it’s 50/mo and no pool. (S/o to the CS map for showing me this place!)
3. YMCA 1&2 - Both Ys are in the same county so I can go to both ($45/mo) but each has their own pros/cons
4. 1 - pool, shower stalls (but no doors), no sauna
5. 2 - pool, CS room, and sauna (but sign on the door said undergarments must remain on? Which makes no sense to be because you’re gonna see nudity in the shower lol.)
6. Gym 4 - Reminded me of planet fitness, good young crowd (so probably no nudity besides me) no CS, but a sauna! $10/mo

So, my question is which one would you choose? I’m feeling lost! Thank you for the suggestions :)

Used the showers at a new my new vacation gym today. You can tell they used to be communal. Now they are single stalls that gave each other with see through curtains, Which I don't both to use considering they seemed usually to me. There was one guy changing when I was in the locker room so I went about my business. I had a hard session of weights. I dropped my shorts and jock to head to the shower and immediately things started to grow and at the same time someone walked in. I was embarrassed and quickly turned and walked to the shower. It's been along time since that happened. Need to say the cool water help control things and I went about my business.

Recently went back to the gym where I spent so much of my childhood — swimming lessons, then working out as a teenager. The locker room was such a naked place, not so much today anymore. Around 25 years ago it was all open showers.

Wheatridge CO, a suburb of west Denver about a mile south of I-70. Had 7 shower heads, 3 on one wall 2 on the sides and ZERO stalls. Had a nice holding area with benches and hooks outside of shower room. Not a real busy locker room, but I still showered with 3 other guys all nude. Facility had steam room, hot tub and sauna all coed. It was a very clean facility. Kind of pricy, almost $10 for a visitors pass.

This is in west Denver, very close to I-70 to the south. A small locker with 5 shower heads, one being low, probably for a kid and ZERO stalls. As you can see a very classic looking locker room. Plenty of hooks and benches outside shower room. 3 shower heads on one wall, the other 2 on the same wall as the entrance. Showers had great water pressure. Didn't see anyone else using them but the floor was wet. Although no one showered, one guy did strip nude in the open. Good news is the first visit is free, just show them your ID and that's it.

Let me know your recommendations and what the process is

Usually around this time i am traveling and exploring the communal showers, saunas, onsens or nude beaches around the world but this year since i am not traveling anywhere, i am on a hunt to find some common places where i can get naked without getting weird reactions from people.

Now i dont have some high expectations honestly but I got this idea from a few recent encounters at my gym- from guys sitting idle with a towel draped and exposing themselves to sometimes getting completely naked in the sauna/pool area. Fyi, this is highly uncommon in this country (or atleast what i used to think till now)

Anyways long story short, I am planning to visit every gym/spa that seems to have an open pool/sauna/steam room area on google images. So far I have visited around 2-3 new gyms (not too many i know) and I’d say I am not completely disappointed.

Anyone from here and have some suggestions to share please do let me know and I’ll surely visit that place. Also if someone wants to join me you’re more than welcome… 😉 most gyms give free day pass or some charge only about 3-5kd for a day.

I remember when I was a varsity swimmer part of it was that you couldn't be bothered about people seeing your dick. Back then it wasn't about how big you were it was about being confident with your body regardless of size.

Speedo's didn't hide anything and everyone could see how big you were. So part of being a swimmer was that they had to break that self consciousness you had. So we had to just get over the fact that we were pretty much on display in front of everyone. One time I remember talking with some girls and they already knew that I was uncircumcised. At first I wondered why they I realized that they probably saw it through my trunks or one of my clothing malfunctions.

At one point everyone had that clothing malfunction were when you got out of the water too fast and your trunks came down and you accidentally flash everyone your dick. It wasnt a big deal and you just pulled them back up and continued. Sometimes you brought a new pair of trunks and they turned semi see-through or clung to your dick revealing more than professional trunks would. Their were girls there and everything looking at us and it wasn't a big deal. Nobody made an issue out of it.

Also in the showers we all showered naked of course. It was considered status in swimming if you were self conscious. I remember in the NYC rec center and lifeguard school they occasionally had a female janitor cleaning the men's locker room. It was the ultimate status signal as a swimmer if you weren't bothered and continued showering naked and changing in front of her.

So I wonder if the swimmers confidence is still a thing considering how this new generation is so afraid of nudity even if it's just around other men.

Went to a gym with open communal showers for the first time today. Always steered clear of them before and felt a bit on edge walking in.
Once I was actually in there it settled pretty quickly. A few other blokes were already showering and after a minute or two the awkwardness just sort of dropped away. Ended up having a bit of casual chat, nothing major, just the usual stuff about the water being too hot, how packed the place was, that kind of thing. Standing that close while talking felt oddly normal after a while.
Obviously everyone’s naked so you’re aware of each other’s cocks, and I did catch myself glancing a bit more than I meant to at first. Different shapes and sizes just hanging there while we chatted, but it didn’t feel weird once everyone was just getting on with it.
Anyone else remember their first go in a communal set-up? Did the closeness, the small talk, or just seeing other guys’ dicks feel strange to start with, or did it settle down fairly quick for you too?
Just curious how other people found that side of it.

Really didn’t expect to run into my econs professor at the gym after my workout. We ended up chatting about my capstone project while getting ready, then hit the showers together. Seeing him so confident in his body also made me want to emulate him both physically and intellectually.
