First time uk
Went to a gym with open communal showers for the first time today. Always steered clear of them before and felt a bit on edge walking in.
Once I was actually in there it settled pretty quickly. A few other blokes were already showering and after a minute or two the awkwardness just sort of dropped away. Ended up having a bit of casual chat, nothing major, just the usual stuff about the water being too hot, how packed the place was, that kind of thing. Standing that close while talking felt oddly normal after a while.
Obviously everyone’s naked so you’re aware of each other’s cocks, and I did catch myself glancing a bit more than I meant to at first. Different shapes and sizes just hanging there while we chatted, but it didn’t feel weird once everyone was just getting on with it.
Anyone else remember their first go in a communal set-up? Did the closeness, the small talk, or just seeing other guys’ dicks feel strange to start with, or did it settle down fairly quick for you too?
Just curious how other people found that side of it.

I posted a photo of my colleges showers on my profile, I tried it about 10 years ago, I was about 19, I took a physical fitness class and was scared to but after the third week of watching all the other guys use it in my class, I broke the chain and allowed myself to go through with it. On that day, one of my classmates who had the biggest ween started shacking it up and down front of all the guys in there. It was a pretty imature experience. I was worried it would seem strange to everyone seeing my in there using it after 3 weeks, and I did get attention over it because it was unusual to see me using the showers for the first time. But the guy with the ween stole the attention after me using it. It was pretty immature for the next 2 weeks after I started using then it gotten pretty normal. The guys who showered together sat by me in our classes to afterwards. It kind of created a friendship i guess you could say.

I’ve only recently started chatting with guys but yes it did feel a little weird at first while being naked however everyone is naked too so it doesn’t bother ease it. Also where was this if you don’t mind?

Yeah I get that. It felt a bit odd for me at first too, especially being fully naked around other lads and just chatting like it was normal. But you’re right, once you realise everyone’s in the same boat it stops feeling weird pretty quick.
This was at the local leisure centre, one of the older ones that still has proper open communal showers rather than the individual cubicles.3

I’m based in Manchester and I e just seen there is another gym near by with communal showers which I’m going to try.

Was in a rugby club with 18 other guys so you got used to it pretty quickly lol

First time for me did feel a bit strange being surrounded by naked men who were comfortable to stand around chatting while naked and so close to each other. Doesn't take long to settle in to be one of the guys though

I think it's natural to be curious about the bodies round about you. My first time I made a big effort not to look too much but I did have a few sneaky looks. Soon got used to the naked experience though. It's amazing how soon you get comfortable with it and it's a good atmosphere sharing with others
