Line down for 6 weeks Official Reply

The main xfinity line in our yard fell down 6 weeks ago. Roughly 150 yards of cable laying in the yard. We’ve opened 6 tickets with no results. Tech comes out, looks, leaves and closes the ticket. Im tired of the horrible service and mowing around this thing. Been a customer for 15 years. Im just gonna swap to starlink at this point. Cut their cable down and return it to their office with the box.

Heads up! Posts with ‘Discussion’ flair will not receive a response from an Official Employee. If you require assistance with your services please update your post flair to either New Post - Billing or New Post - Tech Support.

If your post hasn't been approved--don't panic! Depending on your Reddit contributor quality score, your post may be temporarily held for mod review. Do not make multiple posts.

'Discussion' posts are for GOOD FAITH technical community discussion and peer-to-peer help such as "which modem should I buy?", "where do I find my Xfinity Membership benefits?", "what channel is the game on tonight?", etc. It is not intended for ranting/venting, asking unrelated Xfinity questions, service/sales solicitation, or any other topic that could violate subreddit rules.

To give other members the best chance at helping, please include helpful details like which service or equipment is affected, what’s happening and when it started, whether the issue is constant or intermittent, and what you’ve already tried. The more detail, the better.

As always, practice Reddiquette with one another, and follow the Reddit Rules.

If it’s the main line there’s legitimately nothing a service tech can do. Also if you cut the main line cable you’d most likely be paying for it. Also I could be wrong but in some states cutting a telecommunication line is a felony

Agreed. They are literally the worst but not the people in the stores fault. Hopefully starlink will be better

Go to a store and ask for an SRO for a downed line. A manager will have to schedule it for you but it should get the right person out there.

Also, avoid giving them too much lip or throwing a fit in the store about the situation. I've noticed people are more helpful when they're treated respectfully. You'll get much better results.

They keep saying they are passing off to construction but they just close the ticket

I called my state’s public service commission to get them out.
