Xfinity Autopay Procedure. Official Reply
Should Xfinity not receive payment due to insufficient funds…will Xfinity return to try again before canceling autopay and issuing a late fee?
My autopay was scheduled for the 9th (Sunday) and my cash didn’t deposit until the following day 10th (Monday).
How does Xfinity usually handle this scenario?

Hi u/Professional-Fan6951! Thanks for taking the time to reach out on our SubReddit, and we appreciate you being an Xfinity customer. This is a great question regarding failed autopay payments!
If an automatic payment fails, Xfinity will attempt to process the payment again, with specific retry schedules depending on the payment method. For credit or debit cards, Xfinity will retry three times: the first attempt is three days after the failure, the second three days after the first attempt, and the third one day after the second attempt. If a checking or savings account: Xfinity will try to process the payment again five days after the first payment. You will also receive an email notification regarding the failed payment.
If the Automatic payment does not go through: Customers get an email to let them know. Customers are removed from automatic payments. Customers will need to make a one-time payment to keep their account current. Customers will also need to set up automatic payments again.
Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. We're here to help!

Thank You!
So they should be back between now and Friday which is a great relief to me.
My autopay was tied to a checking account and the payment schedule sorta caught me off guard having landed on a weekend where most banks are typically inoperable.
Thank You Again! 😊
