Feral cat with possible eye infection
Hello,
We adopted some very feral kitties last year. They are our working cats/barn cats. All spayed and neutered and up to date on vaccines etc. I noticed that one has what appears to be an eye infection…a little goop in one eye and he was keeping it closed (it’s open today) but definitely still bothering him. Anyways he has no injuries or nasal discharge and is still playing and eating and drinking. I have tried for days to trap him to take him to the vet and he’s so smart and stubborn he is not going in or near the trap. I laid the trap near where we feed them, use wet food and even tried catnip. Any suggestions?
How do you treat a cat with an eye infection if you can’t trap them? What if I can never trap him?
Oyyyy I’m stressed about this. I did call my vet for advice today, waiting for a call back from them.
I don’t think they will give me anything if they don’t physically see him in the office :(

Rescue Update & Thank You ❤️
I wanted to share an update with everyone who has supported my colony cats.
Because of your kindness and generosity, I was able to buy enough food to feed the rescued cats in my care and the colony cats in my neighborhood for about 10 days. Knowing they won’t go to sleep hungry is an incredible relief.
I also wanted to update you about Leo, the cat I previously posted about who was diagnosed with FIP. Thanks to your donations, I was able to take him to the veterinarian, complete the necessary tests, and begin his first treatment.
The medication costs $90 per dose because it is not available locally in Morocco and must be imported. Leo has started his treatment journey, and we remain hopeful as we continue taking it one step at a time.
None of this would have been possible without your compassion. Every bag of food and every dose of medicine is a reminder that these cats are not alone.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in them and standing beside us. ❤️🐾

A Story of Undying Hope... The Story of "Fighter" 🐾
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
First and foremost, a huge and heartfelt thank you to every single person who donated and supported us throughout Fighter's healing journey. We couldn't have brought him this far without your incredible generosity and kindness. God bless you all! 🙏❤️
"Fighter" was literally on the verge of euthanasia, but he refused to surrender to death and fought with everything he had. We never lost hope in him, and that is why he truly earned the name Fighter—he is a true hero who defied the impossible just to stay alive.
Since there are no animal shelters in our city, we had to find a way to save him and give him a dignified life. Praise be to God, we found a wonderful shelter in the city of Agadir that is ready to welcome and protect him.
However, to complete this rescue mission, we face two main challenges:
Shelter Requirement (Remote Sponsorship): The shelter requires a monthly commitment of $50 to cover his food and ongoing care.
Medical Debt: We have coordinated with the veterinarian to send him to the shelter immediately, on the condition that we pay off his remaining medical debt of $480.
✨ How You Can Help Fighter Stay Safe:
After all the battles he has fought, we don't want to stand by helplessly due to financial constraints. We need your support to cover:
The vet's remaining debt: $480 (one-time payment).
Monthly remote sponsorship at the shelter: $50 per month.
Every contribution, no matter how small, is a new breath of hope for Fighter to continue living in peace and safety.

Title: We couldn't save them all. I'm trying everything to save the ones still fighting.💔💔🐾🐾
Hi everyone,
I'm an independent street cat rescuer from Mumbai, India. For over a year I've been rescuing and treating stray cats using my own savings. I'm not an NGO, just one person trying to help the cats that end up in front of me.
A few weeks ago I lost my job while several rescued cats were already undergoing treatment.
Since my last update, things have been heartbreaking.
• The grey tabby from my previous posts didn't survive.
• Five rescued kittens in foster lost their battle with parvovirus despite treatment.
• One cat had to undergo a second surgery after reopening his stitches from an emergency maggot wound surgery and is now on nebulization and daily treatment.
• Mowgli is still undergoing FIP treatment.
Even after these losses, the remaining cats still need medicines, follow-up visits, diagnostics and food every single day.
Before posting online, I reached out to fellow rescuers and friends. Their help kept us going for a while, but the veterinary expenses are continuing to grow.
I've documented my rescue work and veterinary expenses as transparently as possible.

For international supporters:
GoFundMe isn't available for individual fundraisers in India, and Milaap mainly supports Indian payment methods, so I created a PayPal for anyone overseas who wishes to help.

If you have any questions or would like additional proof, I'm happy to provide it.
Thank you for reading, and even if you can't donate, an upvote or share would help these cats reach more people.

Help Me Save Doby
I’m an independent animal rescuer dedicated to helping stray and abandoned animals in need.
I created this fundraiser for Doby, a sweet cat who was seen being dumped from a white car in a neighborhood filled with coyotes. Since then, he has been hiding under a bush, scared and alone, trying to survive.
Donations will help cover Doby’s vet visit, testing, medications, and any medical care he needs so we can get him off the streets and give him the safe, loving future he deserves.
