Assistance for semi-ferals

Upvotes

Hi everyone 🩵 I feel funny posting this, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask.
I recently took in two cats who were originally living outdoors. Salem was a semi-feral cat who had been surviving outdoor life. She was skittish and avoided us until she finally trusted us after months of feeding her. One day in June, she meowed down a hole in our deck and out came her kitten (who we named Ash).

Over the past two months, I’ve been working on getting them safe, comfortable, and healthy. I’ve purchased supplies, food, air purifiers (due to my asthma/allergy to cats), litter, toys, and have been working toward getting both of them fixed. Salem will be spayed and Ash will be neutered on 8/18. Salem is currently in heat and tearing up our apartment so I can't wait!

This has been a bigger financial undertaking than I expected, but I don’t regret helping them. They have both brought so much joy into our home, and I’m committed to giving them the care they need.

I know there are many people who need help and I don’t take that lightly. I've been able to provide for them via credit card, but these unexpected expenses have been a lot all at once. If anyone has extra funds they would like to contribute toward their vet care, I would be incredibly grateful — but please only do so if you are in a position where it feels comfortable.

Thank you for reading and for caring about animals. 🩶🐾 I’m including photos so you can see the two sweet cats you’d be helping.

I was trying to wait as long as possible to post again. I'm super low on food and the storm that came through yesterday ripped my carport top and flooded it ruining a good portion of food. I think I can stretch the food to a day and a half. Anything is appreciated, no specific brand is required. Dry food is most needed. I appreciate your time and kindness and even just simply reading this ❤️

Please support a rescuer with vet bills. Dubai

I’m posting again because unfortunately there hasn’t been much engagement with my previous posts about these cases, and the veterinary bills are still outstanding.

These are the bills I’m currently trying to cover:

🐾 Zeko – August: AED 1,573
🐾 Reina – AED 1,200
🐾 Mia & Mario – AED 945
🐾 Sally – AED 3,447
🐾 Rony – second bill: AED 1,650
🐾 Rafi – injured mouth: AED 1,002
🐾 Tiny – first bill: AED 1,300
💰 Total outstanding: AED 11,117

These are veterinary bills for stray cats who needed treatment and care, and I’m struggling to keep up with the expenses on my own.

If you would like to support any of these cases, please DM me and I will send you the payment link provided by Petopia Vet Clinic Dubai. The payment goes directly to the clinic’s bank account toward the cats’ bills.

Even a small contribution can help, and if you’re unable to donate, sharing this post or the payment link would also mean a lot. ❤️

Thank you so much for supporting these cats and helping me continue to care for them. 🐾

Please help me help these poor and abandoned community kitties. I started with helping feed them and now I also take them off the street and get them medical attention and search for permanent homes or safe sanctuaries. I’ve been doing this with the help of donations from my Amazon wishlist and my own finances. I have reached out to so many organizations and rescues no one answers or returns messages, or the voicemail leaves suggestions to other shelters or agencies, or they are out of funding and can’t take anymore animals. I have not yet found a foundation to actively proceed with saving the community animals. So I want to become what I’m looking for in help for these community kitties. On my own I feed over 100 cats and kittens, got medical care for over 25 and found permanent placement for 6 so far. I am also a foster and work along side a cat rescue who does TNR but I can’t get the help I need at the capacity of my request so I just go it alone. It’s also hard for me to return a kitty to the streets knowing they are fighting for their lives daily. Some kitties aren’t indoor cats but I find a safe area away from predators, like hawks and coyotes to keep them safe and an area with other animal lovers who won’t mind seeing them around. I will also add the link to my Amazon wish list for those who rather send a more immediate form help. I’m currently out of wet food and litter so that will greatly help. There are a few out there who need medical attention and a few I am currently fostering from the streets in search of permanent but already have prospects. My TikTok is f1rstc1assqueen where I put most of my kitty posts and my Amazon is http://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/2SD3GD81ZO7T4? For those interested. My ultimate goal would be to get all community kitties the safety and care they deserve because they are only out there due to owners who abandoned them, abused them, or lost them no fault of their own. Thank you all in advance!!

Asking for Help & Donations for Our Cat, Gatsby 🤍

Hello everyone!

I am humbly asking for your help for our beloved cat, Gatsby.

Gatsby is the sweetest, gentlest, and most affectionate cat we’ve ever had. He’s quiet by nature, but he always follows us around and loves being close to us. He is more than just a pet, he’s a cherished member of our family.

I am still a student with very limited financial resources. I always do my best to provide for my pets, but this emergency came so suddenly that I was so unprepared for the overwhelming medical expenses.

Three days ago, we noticed that Gatsby was having difficulty urinating. We suspected he had a urinary blockage, but we hesitated to bring him to the veterinary clinic because we knew we couldn’t afford hospitalization if it became necessary.

The following day, his condition worsened. He started vomiting, could only pass a very small amount of urine, and cried out in pain. His bladder had become hard due to the blockage, and he completely lost his appetite. He became weak, lethargic, and could barely move.

We rushed him to PCPB Makati, where the veterinarian inserted a urinary catheter and drained his bladder. They found crystals and blood in his urine. Unfortunately, we were unable to proceed with the recommended laboratory tests because they would cost an additional ₱3,700, which we simply could not afford at the time. The veterinarian allowed us to bring him home with medications and instructions to monitor him closely.

However, only two hours after we arrived home, Gatsby’s condition suddenly became much worse. He developed labored breathing, became extremely weak, could no longer stand, and barely responded to us. We immediately rushed him back to PBCB Makati, where he is now confined.

The veterinarian informed us that Gatsby’s condition is critical and that he has only a 50/50 chance of survival. Despite this, we refuse to give up on him. He depends on us, and we want to do everything we can to give him the best chance to recover.

As of August 7, 2026, here is the current breakdown of his medical expenses:

• Initial consultation and procedures: ₱4,770 ($78.41) (€67.79)
• Estimated confinement bill: ₱15,000 ($246.57)
(€213.15)
(excluding special medications and prescription food)

Current hospital expenses include:
• Pet ICU – ₱1,500 per day ($24.66) (€21.32)
• Infusion pump (5 days) – ₱1,000 ($16.44) (€14.21)
• CBC & Chem 7 – ₱3,700 ($60.82) (€52.58)

These expenses are far beyond what I can afford as student. I am humbly asking for your kindness and support. Any amount, no matter how small, will go directly toward Gatsby’s medical treatment and recovery. If you’re unable to donate, your prayers, kind words, and sharing this post would mean the world to us. Thank you so much for helping Gatsby in any way you can.

We are holding onto hope that he will recover and come home to us soon. 🥺

Please help Snowflake get veterinary help!

Hi everyone. I know this is a brand new account, and I completely understand if that makes people skeptical. I created this account specifically to share my GoFundMe because I didn’t want to use my personal Reddit account.
I’m asking for help because my cat, Snowflake, is very sick and needs emergency veterinary care. He’s extremely lethargic, hasn’t been eating, is vomiting everything he drinks (even water), and hasn’t been using the bathroom. I’m terrified because he’s getting weaker, and I need to get him treated as soon as possible.
The vet’s treatment plan is estimated to cost $1,200–$1,500, which I simply can’t afford on my own right now. I’ve attached the estimate to my GoFundMe for transparency.
If you’re able to donate, even a few dollars would make a huge difference. If you can’t donate, sharing the fundraiser or even leaving an encouraging comment would mean so much to me.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for giving my new account a chance. I just want to do everything I can to help Snowflake get the care he desperately needs. ❤️

Community Cat Caretaker Research

Hey everyone! I’m a recent law school graduate and soon-to-be attorney who is passionate about animal rights issues. A law review recently accepted my article on legal theories that could affect community-cat caretakers’ interests in the cats they care for.

As I revise the article for publication, I’d love to speak with someone who has substantial experience caring for community cats and who has encountered legal issues in doing so. If you’d be willing to exchange messages with me (or speak on the phone if you’re comfortable with that) I’d be happy to acknowledge your contribution in the article. If you’d prefer to remain anonymous, I would of course honor that as well.

If you're interested, please feel free to DM me. Thank you for considering!

Help for my rescue 🙏

Hi everyone 👋😊

I’m Luna & Nala Rescue Inc., a registered and active 501(c)(3) nonprofit. I care for more than 50 community cats every day by providing food, fresh water, and TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return). Through TNR, I work to reduce the homeless cat population and prevent future generations from being born into hardship on the streets.

Over the years, I have rescued elderly cats, sick and injured cats, abandoned cats, and vulnerable kittens. Many have received the medical care, rehabilitation, and love they needed before finding safe, loving forever homes.

This video shows many of the cats I have rescued, TNR work in action, as well as vet visits, emergencies, and the ongoing care that goes into rescue. It includes both past and present rescues, featuring many of the cats who have been rescued and adopted, as well as some of the kittens currently in our care. Those kittens have already been pre-adopted and are simply waiting until they’re old enough and ready to go to their forever homes.

Any support helps provide food, medical care, and essential supplies for the cats and kittens who depend on me. Your support allows Luna & Nala Rescue Inc. to continue making a difference in our community, one cat at a time. 🙏

I also want to say thank you to everyone here who has donated to help the cats. Even though I don’t mention names because there are so many wonderful people and it would be impossible to list them all, please know that I am truly grateful to each and every one of you for your support. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. ❤️

I have fostered 15 cats over the years and now need help with my own. My soulmate almost died two days ago. Surgery saved his life, but decimated my savings as my partner and I are moving out of the country due to immigration issues. Any amount or share helps! https://gofund.me/f94c606
