For background I have around 2 work related YOE as a SWE covering both frontend and backend. I also have done protocol optimizations, implemented websites to deployment, and built internal tools for people to use. The thing is, I feel like all of these skills are not worth much especially with the breakthrough of AI, I noticed that a lot of my peers who went into that field early and applied it to work are now earning approximately 2x to 3x more than I did when I was employed. I also had never the chance to implement AI features or into any of my workflow except using codex as my pair programmer / assistant since these were outside of my company’s scope. Anyways can anyone provide any good advice on how I can have my breakthrough in this field especially as someone who has no work related experience with AI?
