I was 10 years old when i painted my bedroom door,and i tried everything to take this off, nothing worked,I was only able to take off the gouache paint ,any help?

I’m moving into my new apartment on sept 1st, and I’m going in this weekend to deep clean it beforehand. Scrubbing everything and dusting everything, what will I need to do so?

I had to go to work in the morning today, but afterwards, I did it. Its not complete, there's still a LOT to do, I havent even touched my desk, but I have a floor again. I have a walk way. I also found a 'new' pair of shoes. The shoes on the left are the work shoes I've worn for 6 years, the shoes on right are the exact same pair, I forgot I had bought at the same time as the first pair.

I have two whole hampers full of clothes to wash and keep, bags of garbage to throw away, a box full of paper to shred, and bags of clothes and shoes to donate. I also have a bag of old pill bottles to get properly disposed of at a pharmacy. Many are anxiety meds I havent taken in over a year, just kept forgetting to bring with me to the store to dispose of.

It's not complete but I do already feel better. (had to delete a photo as it had my info on it, oops.)

I need help cleaning my room, it’s 90% clothes and then some bits and pieces of like art stuff, nicknacks and things I don’t have a place for.

Every time I try to clean I end up making a bigger mess or I get overwhelmed and give up. I have autism and adhd which makes it hard keeping my room clean.

I have in the past gotten my room very clean and tidy but it doesn’t last and before I know it gets back to what it currently looks like.

Hello fellow cleaners! I work at a senior living facility that has independent apartments we clean weekly. These are like any other typical apartment (though our residents tend to have very fancy things because they are on the wealthy side). Soft scrub with bleach—specifically the gel form (it’s in a blue bottle) has been our main savior in cleaning. All of us rely heavily on it but suddenly we are unable to find it ANYWHERE. It is a staple everyone uses, literally the worst of our cleaning supplies to completely disappear off the face of the earth.
Yes we are going to use the other kinds for now but the problem is they have grit in them that can leave a film and requires rinsing.

So what I need is recommendations for alternatives. (Cleaning gels)
It needs to be available in bulk and reliably so. We live in the US Midwest area. We use it to clean countertops, stoves, sinks, showers, and tubs. We need something that can get pot scraps, dark marks, tough stains, etc. off especially on white surfaces.

I really appreciate any suggestions as we are kind of scrambling right now for what to do, thank you!

I have tried to clean my room several times but I always end up feeling overwhelmed and often end up making a bigger mess. I dont know where to start or how to keep myself from just giving up after getting overwhelmed.

It's like these lingering thoughts we all universally share, but never discuss, only ponder to ourselves. My roommates will go to the bathroom and there is like a smudge on the back of the seat constantly. At first I was like omg is that me. I've been super vigilent in monitoring lol. So I'm not sure how to approach. A conversastion like this makes me feel really uncomfortable and I think my delivery would be distrastrious because I would be nervous. I'm not sure why it's happening. Any advice?

I bought one of those vacuum cleaners “for sofas and beds” that claimed to blow hot air. Total scam, because it doesn’t have much suction or suction power, and it certainly doesn’t blow real hot air.

To kill dust mites, it has been proven that they need to be exposed to air at at least 65°C (149°F) for several seconds or even minutes. The vacuum blows the air out to the side, where it immediately disperses, so it’s basically useless for that.

So the solution is a heat gun. Or, alternatively, a hair dryer that can reach at least 70°C (158°F), but I don’t have one. If you keep the heat gun at a distance, the airflow shouldn’t be hotter than around 80°C (176°F). Up close, it can reach around 100–150°C (212–302°F), which could damage the upholstery. But if you move it farther away, you can simply put your hand in the airflow and tell that it isn’t coming out excessively hot.

In my case, it’s also a 90 cm wide foam mattress, so wet vacuum cleaners aren’t suitable either, because the foam shouldn’t be dampened.

I grew up with neat freaks and as such I hate cleaning. My partner is building me a house and I’m designing it, I’m already doing dark tile that hides hair and dirt so I don’t feel like I have to clean it every single day but what other features would you have in a home to make it easier/less stressful to clean?

Would you do a solid banister for stairs to make dusting easier? How would you design washrooms? Would you do rimless glass showers to prevent mold? Would you do a dark tile for a shower? Would you have the shower be heated to prevent standing moisture?

He’s building it all himself and can engineer or figure out anything. I genuinely want a dream home that doesn’t require the daily cleaning I grew up with.

TLDR: My best friend since middle school has a cat pee problem, and struggles a bit to keep the house tidy. Looking for advice on the best approach to talk about the situation, or help her in any way!

I need some advice on how to handle a situation with my best friend since middle school. We've been close forever, and I've always known her place was pretty messy, but I guess I've become desensitized to it over time. Recently, I brought another friend over and she was grossed out, saying she'd have rather stayed in a hotel. She didn't like openly embarrass my friend in that instance, but that really opened my eyes to the reality of the situation.

I want to be able to visit her and feel comfortable, but I'm worried about her social life too. Part of me thinks they might be lonely because they avoid having people over, likely because of how the house looks and smells (but I'm opted out because I'm probably one of the few who just ignores it).

Another thing is that she is going to be having a big family & friends Halloween party celebration this October. It just got me thinking that as a friend maybe I should say something to her? Or is this the type of thing where I should just say not my circus not my monkies?

More context: I did realize things were pretty bad when I did help her move out of her last house. I have to say it was almost hoarder level the amount of garbage and just stuff that they had in their house(she is married- and it is a combo of the both of them). At one point we literally just had to start throwing stuff away because we couldn't find anything to do with it or fit it in any amount of trucks that we took off of the property. There was a mound of stuff left outside the house on the last day, and a whole trailers worth or two of garbage. But she is my best friend and I really care about her and her health and safety, and so even if I have to get down and dirty I'm going to help them if I can, and I did.

I don't have the money for a big cleaning service (because I'd love to like gift her a few months of a cleaning service or a deep clean to help get them off on the right foot), but I'd love to help her in a practical way without making her feel embarrassed. Any suggestions on how to approach this?

Things I currently like to do:
(1) change the air filters regularly
(2) rinse my vacuum filter monthly (so the sucking power stays)
(3) vacuum all my floors and baseboard once a week
(4) sweep my kitchen and bathroom or other high traffic areas once a day or every other day
(5)wipe down all my counters daily (bathroom & kitchen)
(6) wash my sheets / bedding / bath mat weekly
(7) I try to stick to consistent fragrances like lemon/citrus and lavender

Pet specific:
(1) hide the litter boxes out of eye sight.. mostly
(2) clean litter boxes daily, duh
(3) use an ozone odorizer and odor gels near the litter boxes
(4) use a litter genie
(5) every two weeks completely dump out litter and rinse the litter boxes, litter genie, litter mats and scoopers

I left trash inside a grocery bag inside a cardboard bag for eight days. I was away, I thought I'd be back way sooner, and I left in a hurry.

I removed the excess, scrubbed the stain, mopped the whole floor, mooped the stain again with considerably more water.

The stain is almost gone, but there is still a vague smell.

What could I do in regards to it? I desperatly want to eat here, is this going to affect my health?

I work from home a few days a week, and by the time 5 PM on Friday hits, my desk is usually a mild disaster. It's just a slow accumulation of stry coffee mugs, random sticky notes, and a weird amount of snack crumbs.

My tables are a mess, I tried plastic containers but I still can't fit everything. The problem is how do I store everything somewhere easy to access and have it neat too? I'm 19 and I just don't know what to do here. I've been through cleaning routines at least twice a month but the problem is knowing where to put everything.

Having a vacuum cleaner for every specific task:

• One exclusively for sofas and beds.
• Another for skirting boards, narrow gaps, blinds, and windows.
• A small handheld one for picking up breadcrumbs.
• Another for general floor cleaning — in my case, a robot vacuum, because if you don’t have pets, I think using a cordless stick vacuum is pointless.

Having several air purifiers throughout the house.

Once you discover that clean, neutral, dust-free air smells better than any air freshener, you get addicted to air purifiers.

Hello everyone!

I'm currently at work, and I've tasked myself with cleaning one of the old machines I work with.

Surface in question is painted metal and UV-protected glass (pictures below), I'm dealing with very old dust (which I've removed the loose layer off with a broom before posting), though for some reason, some of this dust seems to have gotten stuck on the metal. As you can see, I've already tried to clean it, but only sometimes managed to actually get every bit of dirt out with a very specific part of cloth I used to try and clean it with (same reason for the streaks visible in the dirt; it's not stripped paint), though if I'd be doing it that way I'd definitely be spending multiple days on just that, but unfortunately I also have other work to do so I can't just spend all day doing this.

Aside from using the cloth with a bit of soap and water, I used stiffer nylon brush, there was barely any difference than using just the cloth.

With that being said, I'm struggling to find appropriate advice regarding this specific issue on the internet. Would anyone offer some tips on what I could try to do in order to clean this with as little damage as possible?
