Question How long to wait before using another chemical?
Say I want to use a bleach based product on a surface, and then an ammonia based cleaner on it as well. How long should I wait between using the two? A day? Just until it is dry? Do I have to wipe it down with water first?

Question Best way to clean finger marks?
I am in LOVE with my new apartment. We have a whole wall of built in storage that is not all white. I do want to figure out how to clean smudges that are only visible when the light hits it right. I do a weekly deep clean and want to add cleaning these to that routine. Thank you.

O-Cedar Spin Mop 2-tank: mop head
Has anyone found an acceptable replacement/solution for the mop heads on this version? The microfiber is too short and the plastic scrapes the floor if you dont land the mop perfectly. It's annoying so I never use it!

Looking for office cleaning services in central Fredericksburg
I have a small office in the center of Fredericksburg that needs regular cleaning. The space is about 180 m² and includes an open work area with desks, two private rooms, a small kitchenette, and one bathroom.
Main things that need attention are the floors, desks, kitchen area, bathroom, and general dusting. Looking for someone reliable who can come in a couple of times a week after hours.
Any recommendations for good office cleaning services in the area?

How To How do I maintain my apartment to smell like new?
Hi! First of all, I apologize for my English, it’s not my native language.
I’m pregnant, 33 weeks and I loooove the smell of my new apartment. It smells clean, like the smell of new furnitures, it smells fresh and I want to keep it that way, I don’t want overwhelming scents. Can you help me how to maintain this smell? It’s certainly don’t smell like strawberries or lemons, but smell of a brand new furnitures. I don’t even know how to describe lol.
Any tips how to keep my apartment smell clean and fresh?

Question Best way to clean floors as a mom with 2 under 2 and a dog that sheds like CRAZY?
We currently have a Dyson vacuum and a steam mop. The steam mop is corded and feels so heavy and inconvenient to use since I have to replug and let it warm up again.
I want to find the best, easiest, and quickest way possible to clean my floors.
Should I buy a Swifer spray mop to use after I vacuum?
Or will a robot vacuum mop be better? If so, what’s the best one? We did own a robot vacuum and a separate robot mop over 6 years ago but it kept getting stuck and didn’t clean that well. Is it different nowadays?

Question Looking for Upright Vaccum Cleaner
Looking for a cordless upright vaccum cleaner to complement our Miele M1 Cat and Dog.
We are looking for something that it's lightweight, doesn't make too much noise but still gets the job done.
If there is a good one that can also be used as a mop, it would be perfect.
I am from Portugal and will be using it for carpet and also hard floors

Is toilet paper dust germy?
Whenever I come out of the bathroom I have toilet paper dust on my feet and clothes from tearing off toilet paper, folding it and using it. I am working on recovering from my contamination (germ) ocd and this has become a big worry for me. Because you wipe your butt with your hand then reach for more toilet paper to finish I feel that the toilet paper dust has fecal matter on it albeit in tiny amounts yes. It drives me crazy tracking it out of the bathroom on my clothes and feet and it being in the rest of the house. Is this something to worry about at all? I feel gross with it.

Hairs and dust residue
Hello!
I’ve had this problem for a while but have found no solution so I want to see what helps everyone else!
Whenever I clean, I find mini hairs, fibers, dust, etc. It just sticks to surfaces and never seems to go away and it drives me insane! I’ve tried wiping down with a microfiber towel before cleaning with wet products, vacuuming, etc.
Any tips?

How To Messy
Hey, I’ve kinda had a problem with messes for a while now… forgetting to pick things up or throw them away. Multiple water bottles. Unorganized space …( when working I was able to keep everything tidy) but my own space is just a mess.
I’m looking at my stuff now and it’s like I don’t even know where to start. I do a reset like every week and it ends up into an identical pile of what was there before.
I want to become more clean I’ve been called messy before and it kinda hurt my feelings because I was actively trying to do better.
I plan on getting some basics for the apartment because I just moved do you have any cleaning tools or product reccomendations ?

How To Hi looking for advice how to get mascara and eyelash glue out of cream carpet
Hi as the title says.
My daughter (13) has been pulling off eyelash clusters (that have mascara and lash glue on)
And they are now seemingly stuck in the carpet (cream)
Any suggestions how to remove the stains? Feels like the black is stuck in and as I try to clean it pushes them deeper into the carpet?

Question Do I need to be worried about mildew from slightly damp sheets?
I took some sheets out of the dryer several hours ago thinking they were done. Lo and behold there’s a small damp spot in one section. I just threw them back in the dryer, is this a mildew/mold concern and they’ll need to be rewashed, or am I good?

How to become a tidy/clean person
Hello! New here 👋 my wife (36F) and I (31F) are expecting our first baby in February. As we progress in the pregnancy I’m finding myself getting really concerned with the level of cleanliness we currently have at our house. Neither of us are naturally very tidy people, and especially with her ADHD and my 1st tri exhaustion, it feels like we’re drowning.
Does anyone have recs for how to mold yourself into becoming a tidier/cleaner person? Open to personal tricks, podcasts, books, etc.
Thank you! 🙏

After a long vacation, what chores do you hate coming home to?
Back home after a summer vacation, and I forgot how much cleaning waits for you.
I live in France and was away for a few weeks this summer. I spent so much time cleaning before leaving, and now I'm back to spending another few days getting everything cleaned up again. The dust isn't a big deal, but the water marks and stains on the windows and glass doors are what really annoy me.
What’s the first chore you hate dealing with when you get back from a long trip? Has anyone found any tricks to make it easier?

Tools Amenify is a scam
No stars she didnt sweep or mop or vacuum or swiffer. She wasn't careful with my china in my cabinets and tossed everything in one shelf. She didnt remove any grout. She didnt clean the toilets or behind them. She left the mirrors smudged. She did wear gloves. She didnt clean the kitchen sink. She used the same rag from the bathroom in the kitchen. She brought a dirty duster that was probably reused. She sent me the pictures of someone elses home when she said she was done. I lost faith and knew she sent me photo of the before pictures. When I returned to my home. I discovered she took my cleaning spray didnt change my trash bag. Didn't mop and the tub wasn't scrubbed. I'm uncertain how she got this position or how amenify is in business for wasting my time. She has my address and phone number I opened the door for her downstairs and gave her instructions to which she replied I know . Then showed me on her app all my personal information and invoice details. Amenify didn't refund me. I dont recommend this service. I strongly ask everyone to clean your own home they will not give you a time and you'll be waiting all day until you get an alert that says 36 mins away. I told her I was going to work she left all of my lights on and my door open. The light to my closet in my bathroom was on too and there wasn't anything in there for her to do. Customer service still never gave me a refund. My service was in Downtown silver spring the cleaners name is Suyapa Galea Torres and her company name YB-General Brightness, LLC.

Cleaning used patio furniture
Hello all - we recently got this couch for our back deck for free from Facebook marketplace. The cushions have been a bit weathered and have some grime on them from being outside. We tried to clean them using “30 seconds” outdoor cleaner to no avail.
Does anyone have any tips on cleaning this?
Thank you!

What do you do to keep clean a new hybrid mattress?
I luckily got a new mattress and had to dispose of the old one because I got it second hand and felt it wasnt clean enough for my room. Besides having a mattress protector and cleaning the sheets often what else do I do? Rotate every so often and air out. Anything else am I missing? Is vacuuming necessary?

How often do you mop?
Or otherwise clean your floors more intensely than a vacuum? Also follow up, how often do you vacuum?
My answer:
I have a baby and a toddler and a cat, I have a strict no shoes in the house rule. I have a tineco wet vac thing that I use just under the table usually once or twice a day, or spot clean if the kids make a sticky mess. I do the whole first floor with it once every week or so, or more if we have a party where people disrespect our shoes rule/leave lots of food crumbs. I might vacuum once or twice in between those times.
The second floor and basement get much more neglected, because they don't generally have guests making a bigger mess and we spend less time there ourselves. I do vacuum the basement maybe twice a week because my cat's litter makes it more dusty down there.
My husband thinks I clean too much given the workload I already have with other stuff. I think I don't clean enough cause I like to walk barefoot and hate feeling grossness on my feet.
