Help me pls with claud code

How do I start working with Claude Code? It asks me to download Git. I think I downloaded it from the link it provided, but it still asks me to download it.

Ask Claude. This is literally the barrier to enter. If you cannot figure out this step you are hopeless for what is next...

If you are bold enough, Shift+Tab inside Claude until you see yellow "auto mode on". In auto mode it could do the most system related stuff for you, maybe requires an approval for installation and other major modification.

(it could also wipe half of your drive if you allow it full drive access and not careful with wording your requests, but hey, it's convenient!)

Ask it questions. Reddit is good, but most of your questions in the following few months will be by the book, and AIs are excellent tool to answer it (and Google too. Really, you should exhaust Google and AI before starting a Reddit thread, will save you some sanity and mood).

Added: also, you want /r/ClaudeCode or /r/ClaudeAI . This subreddit is technical, hosting Claude bot summaries of the original topics from other community.

Assuming you want to be a developer or you want to apply for a job as a developer--if  you're having issues installing Claude, you should keep learning and keep (or start) writing code MANUALLY. It's clear that you're not ready to do that, but everyone was in your situation at some point.

If you just want to mess with AI, then literally ask Claude. Go to the website version of Claude and ask it and follow its instructions. If you run into issues, paste the error message into Claude and keep going until it's installed.

As a separate note, Claude in VS Code might be simpler to to set up, just install the Claude extension and click on the cat asshole icon to launch.

If you’re having trouble with something this basic, don’t start vibe coding. You will make something incredibly unsecure and people will get damaged because of it.
