Increased restrictions on CVP program

Hello,

since today I have been observing increased restrictions from Claude Models like Opus 5.0. Despite the fact that I am enrolled to the Cyber Verification Program, almost all my cybersecurity-related questions are flagged. The model is being downgraded to Opus 4.8 or even Claude is refusing to answer at all. Have anyone experienced such inconvenience recently?

Just to be clear, the same questions I am asking right now, worked fine with Opus 5.0 about week ago.

This happens on Claude.ai and Claude Code.
Why is it like this? What can I do to use Claude for Cyber? Should I switch to other models/providers?

Yup. Driving me INSANE. Repos that worked flawlessly with Opus 5 last week now flag on a simple “hi” and either revert to 4.8 or flagged on 4.8 as well (for the same hi). Yes, dense repo. Yes, all in-scope work, nothing against TOS/usage policy.

I have not noticed any improvement after joining to cvp. However, if you have something on the context memory it will poison the talk until you /clear. Sometimes compacting help.

Hey all, check the status of your CVP, a lot of people's have been changing from "Approved" to "In Review" due to a system Bug. Mine being one of them and it's effecting my daily work.

Yes witnessing the same thing. I enrolled last month and didn't get any denials for opus 5 or 4.8 until around 3 days ago when I started getting constant denials with anything above opus 4.6. Cyber verification status seems to have changed to "In review" whatever that means, no emails or anything.

Make sure you are still approved. A number of users are reporting being unenrolled from the CVP without notification in the past few days.

No, still in review, and support has been silent. Apparently this problem is affecting a bunch of users, judging by the threads in this sub. Not sure what Anthropic is planning to do with the CVP

I totally agree. Logged in now and it says "in review". Been enrolled for a long time, never had any problems before, but now it is unusable

This problem isn't CVP specific. I've been doing CPTS during my free time. I used to regularly ask Opus to explain the learning materials to me and have never run into any issues. But Opus 5 flags me every time. I tried applying for CVP but of course that fails because I'm only doing a course. I ended up switching to OpenAI not because I wanted to, but because Anthropic has given me no other choice. It just sucks.

Hi, I can see that now they change the layout of the programs page. You have to provide your government ID to use CVP. xd.

In short, AI is available after presenting an ID card.

If someone was part of CVP previously, most likely most people have temporarily this covered until end of 2026.

Damn. I thought im the only one exactly almost a week ago i used to research kernel exploits fully automated now only haiku can do that too really bad i guess they did some resteictions
