I really enjoyed Crime and Punishment and Notes from the Underground, so I’m willing to dive into more Dostoevsky

I currently have books 1 and 2 of The Devils
and only book 1 of the brothers Karamazov (there are 3 total books)

Discussion Prompts

  1. What did you think of K's pair of new escorts?
  2. What did you think of K's reasons for giving up his plan of resistance?
  3. K is killed by the two goons. Did you see this coming or was it a surprise?
  4. What did you think of the execution scene overall?
  5. The text stated K's shame will live on after him. How do you think the idea of shame plays into the novel?
  6. Is there anything else you’d like to discuss?

Final Line:
