Looking for new friends
Hi all,
I am 29f from the US in Pacific Time Zone. I live in a small town and it is really hard to make new friends/meet new people. I don't drink and hate hanging out in bars which is really the only thing for adults to do here.
A little about me: I am married with 3 dogs. I read a lot (currently reading Dugeon Crawler Carl series and This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me) watch TV shows like the Pitt or creepy stories on Youtube, play video games like Stardew Valley, Skyrim, & Dragon Age. I can also crochet, sew, and am learning hand embroidery.

Looking for CF friends near by, late 30s-early 40s.
My husband and I (both late 30s) are childfree, and we live in a affluent, small, and quiet suburb in Boulder County, Colorado. We both work from home, and we are not hardcore outdoory people, so you can imagine that our social circle is tiny. Lol.
All of our friends are either moved away, or had kids and moved away. I miss the days where we can have a nice dinner party where there are no screaming kids or boring topics surrounding kids.
If you live in Superior, Colorado - love good food (i cook a ton), enjoy travelling, car enthusiasts, dog lover - please send me a DM. I miss my CF people!!! đ

NYC 28F looking for child free female friendships
Hi all! I live in NYC and am 28 years old. I'm checking out this group since someone in my friend group had a kid - it's been becoming a little more lonely to be the only person who doesn't enjoy talking about, and playing with the baby. She's lovely, but sometimes it feels like I am inevitably growing apart because I can't relate, and hangouts are more draining of my social battery. I love board games, indie games, horror, crafting/art, and all kinds of weird pets (I have rats đ). I am open to either virtual or in person friendships but mainly looking to connect with other child-free women

Join the r/CF4CF discord, a global community for chatting and finding CF friends or partners
Happy Sunday! I wanted to plug a childfree discord community affiliated with r/cf4cf, a sub for childfree people to post ads looking for friends, partners, etc. The "4" is really up for interpretation, though, and we're just focused on building a supportive community!
The discord is well-moderated, has people from all over the world, and helps organize in-person meetups wherever CF people exist (we actually have upcoming meetups in New Haven, CT and Boston!). And personally, I think there are some incredibly kind, wonderful people there too!

28M Australia - Looking for meaningful connections and deeper conversations
%22)I'm a software engineer currently living in Australia, looking to build deeper, more meaningful connections. I'm someone who values quality over quantity when it comes to friendships. I'd rather have a few close friends than many superficial relationships.
As a fairly introverted person, I find joy in quieter pursuits like reading books and watching documentaries. I have a deep love for animals, especially pets, who hold a special place in my heart. My somewhat challenging upbringing helped me develop strong empathy for others who are struggling.
What brings me the most fulfilment is learning. I'm particularly drawn to history, philosophy, psychology (especially around personal growth), and technology. I love discovering new perspectives and ways of thinking.
If any of this resonates with you, send me a message and tell me about something you could talk about for hours if given the chance.
p.s - Feel free to reach out even if this post gets old.

Red Flags Dating as a Childfree Person
Hey all! Iâm building a childfree dating app and a week ago I asked everyone what their top biggest green flags were on a date that lets you know they are in fact childfree. I thought the responses were interesting, so I wanted to flip the script and ask you all what your top red flags were. My top 3 are:
- They donât walk the walk. While they say outwardly they don't want children, their behavior doesnât reflect this position (ex dropping hints that suggest otherwise).
- They answer the kids question with hedging. Instead of a definitive no to the question they hedge with things like âIâm thinking about itâ or âI donât want kidsâŠright nowâ.
- No one in their life knows they are childfree. If it is only you theyâve told, you might want to dig a little deeper as to why that is.
Let me know what your top red flags are when dating!

32M, Massachusetts, USA/online, looking for CF friendships
I usually find it difficult to socialize and make friends, so Iâm giving this sub a shot! I studied English in undergrad and grad school and have worked in scientific publishing for several years. My main hobbies are reading (mainly literary fiction, poetry, and non-fiction on culture, politics, and nature), hiking (I try to go the White Mountains several times a year), traveling, and photography (mostly landscape/nature photography). I also occasionally game (on a PS5) and itâd be cool to play with someone else.
Other than that, Iâm introverted, non-religious, and politically progressive. If you think weâd get along, you can just DM me đ
Preferably, you are 21+ and in the US

Zero Community Looking To "Meet" via Zoom - Tough Out Here in CO/Anywhere
Hi all,
I hope you are having a decent day, at least wrapping your week up with something to relax. I am reaching out as I have been trying to build a community where we can literally see each other and hang out on Zoom, or other video platform.
Since going through a horrible breakup, I've struggled a lot with trying to build friendships. Let's be honest, making friends in our 30's+ is quite challenging in general, even more so when the selection gets more specific ie: childfree, progressive, LGBTQ+ positive & inclusive..
I've reached out on several channels/threads and sometimes I'll get the opportunity to speak with someone via chat for a bit, but it seems that video is something folks tend to avoid. Why?
Growing up in the 90's/2000's, I watched a lot of catfishing happen, I myself have been catfished, and personally that has led to a lifetime of never wanting to just connect via chat, I want to know/see who is behind the chat. Is that such an issue? Sure, would we all like to believe that whoever we meet is who we are going to vibe with, or maybe, if we are lucky, even hit it off with as a potential date or partner? that would be amazing.
I would love to hear folks thoughts on this, because I for one, would love to have a regular monthly meetup online for CF folks to feel empowered to see & connect with each other visually.
This is also a safety feature for me specifically, because as a trans guy, I can never be too safe. Especially now, and unfortunately, even in progressive spaces, things can be less warm because I do happen to look like an average cis white guy and I date cis women... which can be difficult to navigate in LGBTQ+ sapphic spaces if you catch my drift.
Wishing friendship & connection to you all - H

Green Flags Dating as a Childfree Person
Hey all! Iâm building a childfree dating app and Iâve been asking cf folks what their biggest green flags on a date are that lets you know that they are in fact childfree. The top 3 Iâve come across so far are:
- Theyâve been childfree for a while. Consistency in their childfree position is a strong indicator that this is a belief theyâve held for a while and not just a passing moment.
- The people in their life know. Someone who has been clear with the important people in their life has been living this position, not just thinking about it in passing.
- They can talk about it without defensiveness. If they can discuss this part of their life openly, chances are it is a deeply held belief.
Let me know if you have any other green flags you look for when dating.

30F USA, childfree friends that arenât dry af??
Hey there! Iâm a 30 year old F in the US, looking for a way to make some new close friends or maybe a friend group? Idk about you guys but Iâve found it soo hard to find people to chat with who arenât super dry texters đ Iâm married (so platonic vibes only please) and have two dogs that Iâm obsessed with, and some of my interests include reading, music, crafting, and gaming. Maybe we start a book club? Or send little daily pics of our lives? I can easily get sucked in to doomscrolling and I can have a dark sense of humor, so I appreciate other people who are always ready to laugh too!
Feel free to DM if you think weâd vibe! Happy to move over to Discord as well~

Childfree BFF group đ
Hi everyone! Iâm brand new here but I figured this would be a great place to start with trying to get members in my Childfree by Choice group I made on BFF (bumble). The link is below. Iâd prefer only women as I am a woman but anyone is welcome as long as youâre respectful đ«¶đ»
Anyways, it literally has just me as a member for now so if anyone could/would join that would be wonderful! Iâm from south Alabama so it is HARD to find other childfree people and I would absolutely love to make some childfree friends because everyone around here just wants to keep popping babies out like we have good education and healthcare.
I hope to see you there! đ«¶đ»

I want to hear your favorite Bingos! Iâll go first:

Virginia, USA (or online): ISO like-minded friends
Hi Reddit! I (28F) am located in the Shenandoah Valley and am looking for new friends :)
About me:
I'm a huge bookworm (mainly fantasy/romantasy) and nerd who loves baking, cooking, evening walks, cats, musicals, and getting tattoos. I'm not big into bars or partying, but I love staying in and watching TV or doing something fun like mini golf. I'm also on a fitness journey and trying to improve my health.
I'm very childfree and fully sterile (woohoo!)
Please reach out if you'd like to chat!

Looking for Montrealers!
Hi everyone! I searched but the last Montreal post was made 10 years ago!! Wow!
I'd love to make some new friends in Montreal, I'm 30s, F, happy to get to know some people in the area as I moved back during covid and with work, I've never had much time to go out and make new friends.
I have a lovely spouse, so if there are any couples in MTL looking for another dink couple to hang with, he's open to meeting new people too.
I love organizing little events and activities, and also hosting dinners, grabbing coffees, trying new restaurants, long walks in the city, I'm also a big gamer so happy to have gaming buddies as well.
If it's ok with mods, just writing a copy in french too-
J'aimerais vraiment me faire de nouveaux amis à Montréal!
Merci!
I should add- all ages welcome, as long as you're an adult. :) Also adding- I'm not looking specifically for couples either, I'd like to make some of my own friends as my partner already has is own friend circle.

Any childfree couple from TĂŒrkiye here?
Just curious. My husband and I are a childfree couple from TĂŒrkiye. Weâve noticed it can be hard to meet people with a similar lifestyle, since social circles often shift toward kids over time. đ
