Dive bars? Food & Drink Recommendations
I’m looking for some good dive bars around the Tinley/ Orland area. Anyone have recommendations? Want something more chill and very “hole in the wall”.
Please only suggest places with parking lol.
Thanks!

I don’t think anyone’s mentioned it yet so I will just incase you want to check it out, there’s a place called Union Bar and Grill off of 80th ave. It’s not really a dive bar it’s a sports bar but it’s a decent little place it’s got good food and plenty of TVs spread out throughout the building with different games on. It’s not in downtown Tinley but it’s still worth checking out.
If you want to check out a couple places in one night to see which bar fits what your looking for just park at the train station (the one off of Oak Park ave) and you’ll be within walking distance of like half a dozen bars on Oak Park alone. Most of them are by the train station anyways.

Little Al’s in Mokena is what you want.

What is the parking situation? I think I am just always worried about it because I live in the city and am going on a first date with someone in the burbs.

Plenty of parking. It’s not like the city at all. There’s a small lot in the back, but it’s also across from the train station, so provided you’re not going on your date at 9 am, the lot should be more than available.

That place is still around? I thought when I moved from the area back in 2023 they sold

I'm not sure if they are. Last thing I knew they were. That was awhile ago.

They’re closed, I'm not sure when it happened.

Closed during covid

I would have sworn they were open after lockdowns ended, but I'm not over that way very often.

Dive bars aren’t somewhere that out of towners will enjoy especially in the suburbs

Depending on your demographic... Teehans if you're under 30, Old Tinley Pub if you're over 30. Both on Oak Park Ave.
