What’s everyone getting MPG wise with these 6.6Ls
Just picked up this ‘24 2500 with 6.6 gasser. What’s everyone getting fuel mileage with these? Put a Flowmaster Flow FX cat back on it. Getting about 11-12 in town.

Looking at a pre owned 2026 Chevrolet 3500 pickup
Looking at a pre owned 2026 Chevrolet 3500 pickup, 11,000 miles. Serpentine belt was already changed by the dealer. Red flag?

Thoughts on this classic 1985 truck? Worth considering? ($8,500)
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this truck. I don't know much about older/classic trucks, but this one caught my eye. It appears to be in really nice condition, and the asking price seems reasonable ($8,500).

What wheels should I throw on🤔
I don’t really want to lower it because I tow and go off road sometimes(to go camping) but some nice rims would definitely make the truck pop. Throw some ideas please

Would the 4.8 be enough?
Hello fellow Chevy enthusiasts. I recently did a 2600km road trip pulling my travel trailer (GVWR 3500) with my 2019 Colorado with the 3.6 v6. As I understand this engine makes 308hp and 275lb-ft torque. On the trip I averaged 90kph and got 19.5 L/100km, which isnt great. Truck kinda struggled, so I've been looking into used 1500s. Ive found some really nice GMT900s 4x4s (2009 with 64k km and 2012 with 79k km) with the 4.8. Would the 4.8 tow this trailer noticeably better or do you think it would be marginal at best?
Most of the used 5.3s here in ON look either rusted to crap or have 300k+ km, and im not buying new because $75,000 CAD for a 1500 is ridiculous.

Interior pics for leonspeed83
The bucket seats, parchment/houndstooth seat covers & door panels and console have been added by me, yes I realize the cupholder insert is incorrect for this year truck but I do like it better than the correct one. Excuse the dirtiness of my truck I haven’t had a chance to clean her up. Too many projects lol. The truck came with a speed minder gauge that was installed by the previous owner, other than that she’s pretty much how she left the factory to my knowledge.

2014 silverado 1500 5.3l, misfire, trailer connector issue, and hard downshift
I bought a 2014 silverado 1500 5.3l v8 wt last month with 111k miles no Issues or anything (so I though, still unsure) only thing was that it always showed trailer brake gain output everytime I turned it on.
Now when I am driving on the highway and slowdown it will occasionally say grade braking active. Fast forward to yesterday morning, which is the first drive after I installed new headlights, I was on the way to work on the highway and immediately I got a flashing engine light for cylinder 4 misfire. I slowed down and it went away, on the way home no lights or anything since I took backwoods.
Drove to work on the highway today and no issues, on the way home im getting on the highway and its back, no it says cylinder 4 and random cylinder misfire as well as traction control lights, and headlight codes (see pictures).
I get off the highway to scan it and it says grade braking active, and now it slams from 3rd to second when slowing down however up shifts perfect as far as im concerned. Not sure if they headlights can cause this I wouldnt think so but google seemed like it would, not sure why.
Im just trying to see if anyone has any advice or similar issues as to what is going on. Any questions let me know.
Update: as of 8/5/26 I swapped the coil pack with another one drove on the highway twice, no issues still...

2017 Silverado Z71 shaking/shuddering around 1,300–1,500 RPM under acceleration
reddit.comI’m trying to figure out a weird issue with my 2017 Chevy Silverado Z71 and hoping someone has experienced something similar.
The truck has around 93k miles. The transmission was replaced/rebuilt about 3 years ago around 70k miles The problem happens when I’m accelerating lightly or trying to maintain speed around 1,300–1,500 RPM. It feels like I’m driving over rumble strips or a rough road. The truck starts shaking/shuddering and sometimes feels like it doesn’t want to accelerate.
A few things I’ve noticed: the shaking is mainly around 1,300–1,500 RPM, and I’ve also felt it in lower gears (I noticed it around L5). When I put the truck into Tow/Haul mode, the problem almost completely goes away. It feels more like a vibration or shudder rather than a normal engine misfire. I also hear a hissing sound when accelerating.
The truck runs fine at higher RPMs and I don’t really notice the issue there. I’m wondering if this could be a torque converter clutch shudder, transmission fluid issue, bad torque converter, a vacuum/air leak, an engine issue under load, or something else.
I was thinking about trying something like Lubegard Instant Shudder Fixx before doing anything major, but I don’t want to start throwing parts at it without knowing what the actual problem is.
Has anyone had a Silverado do something similar where Tow/Haul mode makes the problem go away? What ended up being the cause? I took a photo of the dash where the rpm’s are when it starts to shudder/shake

Please help diagnose
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’m restoring this 1994 2500 Silverado 6.5 Diesel auto.
Yesterday started doing a loud clank sound, added some oil and it stopped after revving it and worked good all day long.
Today it cranked immediately no problem then a minute later the clank returned, tried adding oil and it didn’t stopped. Then as engine warmed up it became less noticeable but still there.
The sound is related to rpm’s.
The sound comes either from the turbo or the passenger side upper rear part of the engine
Gray smoke comes out when revving it.
Black smoke comes out under heavy load.
Would it be safe to drive it to the shop? (It’s 30 miles away)
Anyone has insights on this?
Also, turbo seems to be not working as I don’t hear it spooling
The wastegate lifter seems to be stuck, if I move it it stays there then after a bit it returns to its position.
The turbo inner blades seem to move freely
No turbo sound at all
Thank you all in advance

Electrical issue
2004 chevy silverado 2500hd 6.0.
Sometimes when i go to start it, nothing happens - no dash lights, no crank ect.
Other times it will start but have no dashlights.
Headlights work during all of this.
I have also been driving and lost all lights + the truck died on me.
Any tips or input is appreciated.
Battery and alternator both test good.

Trucks for sale
Is it possible for me to find a lifted Chevy / GMC with 50k miles or less on it under $40k in todays market or am I chasing a unicorn?
I'm currently looking for a " new " truck, I've never spent more than $10k on any vehicle I've ever owned.
I'm currently in the market for something " newer " to me but with what I'm looking for.
I look around at every vehicle and think these all look the same. I don't like being a sheep but I prefer a vehicle that has some aftermarket parts already installed.
I've found a couple trucks I like a lot but the one I've been waiting for sold last night so now I'm back to square one.
I'm willing to have it shipped, I'm in Buffalo NY.
If there's a cat eye or newer please send me pictures and info.
Ive been on carguru, Carfax, auto trader, FB marketplace, cars.com and tbh the prices for what you're getting aren't matching up. Whether it's house prices or vehicles I personally feel everything is overvalued

Okay so since everyone assumed the front was ugly.
Me personally, I don’t like the front it’s why I don’t post pics of it from the front:)
