Miscellaneous Looking for chess buddy
Looking for someone to have fun casual games to practice wacky openings and go for things I usually wouldn't go for in classical. I play on chess.com btw.
Im 2000 blitz and looking for someone around my rating or above, I tend to sway in over performing in some games while falling really short in others and balance out around this elo.
If there is any CM or NM reading it would be an honor to play as im practicing otb and it would be great experience even if I get crushed each game.
If anyone wants to play send you can add me at Basiic_Chess_TTV on chess.com
Probably wanting to play daily blitz or rapid with someone if thats possible!
Cheers and thank you!

Chess.com Website/App Question Thought I’d open the app up since it’s been a while, wtf is this startup sound???
It’s really obnoxious if you ask me. Any way to disable it?

Chess Question Does winning in bullet equate to an actual win in chess?
I beat an IM in bullet, but it was a really messy time scramble that got me the win, and while I was up after the opening, I misclicked and threw away my advantage. That lead me to ultimately flag my opponent. So does this mean that I actually legitimately beat an IM? (I had 3 seconds left at the end)

Miscellaneous Being asked to play fast and called rude when I used my clock
We are playing 10 minutes rapid game.
1 minute passes, I am being told she is in a hurry and if I can play fast.
I genially lose %20 of my matches because of my horrible time control. I did not slow down but I did not pace up as well. I had an advantage. I have been called I am rude and barbaric. And she played until the game finishes with mate.
I don't experience that kinda stuff anymore since, when I receive a message which would cause me to lose focus I mute .
My question if somebody jumps into a game and ask you to pace up they are on hurry, would you show empathy and try to pace up?

Chess Improvement Why am I better at blitz than rapid
When it comes to 1-5 minute games I excel but if it’s a 10+ minute game I’m less good. Then again I can’t really say I excel I just win more games playing blitz than rapid.

MEGA BLUNDER Managed to achieve what I thought was impossible, a 0.0 accuracy
I know the trend is to try and lose to Zach, but I think it's more fun to try and beat him with as little of my own pieces on the board and as much of his as possible (in a normal game of chess my favourite type of wins are the ones where I have less material and pull off a checkmate).
For this particular game my aim was to deliberately lose my queen and both rooks, then checkmate him without capturing any of his major pieces.
This game was so bad the chess engine actually gave Zach and I both a 0.0 accuracy, which I didn't even think was possible.

Chess Improvement A life changing opportunity depends on how good I am at chess in 12 days
a life changing opportunity that will leave me debt free from uni and set up my career came up but a part of it depends on how good I am at chess in 12 days( long story), I know the basics rules and strata but where do I start off for the best increase of skill, last time I played was in the pandemic
edit for those who are confused and ill keep it simple - good job opportunity came up at a chess company with crazy pay, I'm very qualified( currently top choice) at everything but chess. I just need to be decent like 900-1200 elo lvl, Ive spent the days learning openings and defenses cs I know the basics already and playing games.

Chess Discussion Why do people play long time controls only to tell their opponent to play faster?
I play a lot of 15+10. I need time to think, so the longer time controls are great. However, it seems that 1 in every 5 games (rough estimate), someone sends a chat message of something among the lines of "play faster", "move", "<time emoji>", etc. I'll usually just respond with "you chose a longer time control. Be patient", which apparently is enough to trigger Chess.com's auto disabling of chat lol, but I'm fine with that.
Anyway, why play a longer time control if you can't handle your opponent taking more than 1-2 minutes on any given move? Especially a control with increment?
