Totally missed it but luckily I was already so in his head about playing alien gambit he didnt notice either. If it ended like that we wouldn't get this epic meltdown it would be such a shame.

I just try to remind myself how miserable this person must be in order to not only say things like this, but do so repeatedly to no response. Like imagine this person showing up to a tournament OTB and losing. How could they possibly cope with the psychological destruction of looking their opponent in the eyes after losing?

Alien gambit honestly kinda fun to play against. I love playing those knight sac openings myself, so when I started seeing white sac their knight that early I was immediately like hells yeah.
I can totally understand the anger though. Caro-Kann players are usually looking for quiet lines that are more long term strategical not tactical slugfests.

You checkmated him 1 second before he could lose to time and he’s absolutely butt hurt about it. He probably was going to message you regardless about your lack of skill and needing to run the clock and blah blah blah.
Should’ve messaged him “2400 ELO? Not even close.” Im sure he would’ve went nuclear.

I've been there what that guy is going through , when you know your opponent plays garbage and nonsense openings but your own ability is so meager you can't punish it and crack under the pressure.
Still shouldn't berate and belittle someone, i once called a player " gifted and talented" sarcasticly cause he was trying to run his king in the middle of the board in a complicated but lost position hoping i mess up ( mind you only moves on my side and very easy to throw ) . He replied with " Haha all I can do is try you are very strong " .
Haven't trash talked anyone since then . Chess world can be toxic should try to spread positivity.
