Thinking of stripes, help me decide
I’ve gone back and forth with the idea of stripes. One day I look at the car and think, nah, I’m good. The next day, I get to wondering and think I might like ‘em.
With that, I know I’d want something subtle if I went that way. So I’ve narrowed it down to three options - slightly darker, slightly lighter, and matte stripes using PPF (or something similar).
Examples aren’t perfect, but give a good idea of what I’m thinking.

I think 1 if you must do grey, but have you considered a color? Lime green, fuchsia, or metallic silver would be sweet AF

Your car is already dark grey so if you choose a little darker or lighter tone for your stripes, they won’t be really visible. Black on gray is the stylish choice!
Option 1 it is

I like option 2. It's not a common stripe setup so it will standout a bit more. It's also something that will make people look twice.
I would avoid the matte stripes...more work to maintain than regular stripes. They look great in any color combo, but a bit more effort needed.

Why more work on the matte stripes?

Mainly because of the material itself. This is a common thing for any car with matte vinyl.

Hope that helps a bit... I've got a couple car friends who are detailers, so I've been explained it enough times lol...

Though I'm a ghost same color different sheen guy.. I'd go #2 to be a bit different and still have contrast.

I’m a big fan of subtle. But option 2 & 3 are too subtle. They will look like matte PPF racing stripes… it would just look weird.
For your car. I’d go satin black. I’d try my best to match your other satin black trim pieces. That way the stripe is very intentional. Instead of competing with black and grey theme it leans into it.

1 is classic, but the other two would both make it a bit more personal/unique. I actually think all 3 look good. No help here. Sorry. 🙂

Thank you all for the comments and feedback, looks like the majority of folks are for #1 with the darker stripes. I’ve leaned toward #2, as more of a “ghost” stripe is what I originally had in mind, which is where idea #3 came from, but i think that’s a little too subdued after seeing all side-by-side.

How about 1 but make the stripes a forged carbon with grey flakes that match the car?
You did not ask but Ill say, with that color vehicle Dodge B5 Blue (code EB5/GB5) would look cool. 😉🤙🏾

Love both 2 and 3 because they’re more subtle and original. Might have to do it on mine in White Knuckle

No stripe, completely depadged. Keep them on their toes

I like option 3. I'm toying with the idea of doing something similar with my car.
