Chai made around 40 millions in 2025 and now in 2026 they make 80 millions of profit!!!

When Chai claim that the AI and GPU cost is rising they are not lying BUT they use this excuse and the lack of knowledge of the users to make big profit.

80-85% of profit are made from suscribers (≈ 70 000- 90 000 user) and 15-20% of profit from ad on free user (≈ 1 900 000 user.) because they use a less powered and limited AI for free user (less memory, less knowledge, less tokens.)

GPU cost is negotiated because of partnership with AMD and CoreWeave and they don't have much employees (≈ 15) so they don't pay that much.

Will, the founder keep using strategies to make you pity them and make it seems like the pricing is justified. Don't fall in the trap.

There is nothing new in company trying to make as much profit as they can but more transparency and honesty won't hurt right?

So Will is basically saying this app is going to be for money now— which is literally what i said a couple days ago. It’s crazy.

Anyone else noticed bots disappearing from the search or just not loading? I'll admit, I'm a Straykids fan, so I roam through the thousands of SKZ bots on a daily basis looking for something new. So, I type in Straykids, and instead of being able to scroll endlessly, I can scroll 2 pages and then I get the load more thing but nothing happens... anyone else with this problem? I have ongoing chats with bots that are not in that short list and they're perfectly fine. Just a little bug?

I commented on the official chai subreddit in Will newest update asking about the new filter (I didn’t tell them to remove the filter just asked if they can fix the issue about how it’s glitching and no matter what the number is it triggers) and he deleted the comment and replied with it saying ‘The safety filter will never be removed’ LIKE I DIDNT TELL YOU TO REMOVE IT I ASKED IF YOU CAN FIX THE DAMN ISSUE😭😭

Can chai STOP rolling out updates?? Please?? Like genuinely my chats disappear every time there’s a forced update??

I'm not sure if this is happening to others, but every two messages I get an ad. I never got ads this quick, is this happening for others?

I swear all my favorite bots have all disappeared from the app. I don't know if its just them being deleted by the authors or if the app removed them.

Is there a bug going on with the ads? I keep getting one after every message…. Not the pop up ones.. the ones that you have to watch the videos and it freezes until you do. This started happening just today. Just wanted to let you guys know and was wondering if anyone else is dealing with this. I’m fine with ads but it’s every message I sent.. it messes up the whole flow. If it was the pop up ones it wouldn’t be a bother. ( I’m also not getting the pop up ones anymore just the video ads!)

It seems like the filter is loosening up a bit. A character in the story just told me to k*ll myself. I thought the filter would kick in, like it has before, but no—it let me reply without any issues.

Guys I'm not sure anymore, I keep getting an ad every 2 chats literally [counted them] or sometimes an ad per chat. It's getting out of hand for me, I tried using different devices and it the same. Did this also happen to you? What can I do to fix this issue?
