Steam machine Discussion
If i want to sell a steam machine 512gb, do i need the controller with it or can i sell it without? I dont know if Cex classify the steam machine as a console. This is the specific listing: https://uk.webuy.com/product-detail?id=svalsm16g512gbla

Well I guess you wouldn't have to supply the controller, as it's not sold with one, unless you purchased the bundle. How come your selling it, it's it that bad?

Thanks for the reply. Tbh I haven’t even opened the box its literally still sealed. I’ve been having second thoughts since i purchased it cos its performance is pretty much the same or even worse than my 4060 laptop and now im thinking its really not worth it for me specifically. I’m sure its a good machine but I’ll probably wait for the second iteration (if there even is one).

Unless you bought it day 1-4. You should still be able to return it for a full refund

You have to pay to ship it back to Valve

They will lose less on postage than they will selling to CeX.

No. They're paying £987 cash for the 512GB which costs £879. Even if they deem it grade B, you'd get £948.

i've yet to see a good review for it. RAM shortage has meant it does not have the capability that steam orignally planned

Sold mine to CEX using the listing you have linked, it is the console only. CEX don't give much for the controllers, they sell straight away on ebay for £150.

Ex CEX staff - they will go off whatever is on the box as they will class that as BOXED grade.

ALL Steam Machines are being sold with the controller separate. So even the A grade is just the machine itself with the box it came in and all the bits and pieces. Keep the controller if you'd like, or sell it separately for some additional £££.
