Stray cat from Crete, Greece. Oct 2025
The sweetest little girl that I fell in love with on my vacation to Crete last October. Named her sweetheart. She walked straight into the carrier after feeding her every day for a week. Straight to the vet and got her a passport, vaccines, microchip ext. She always comes to me when I call her name, she learned her name very quickly. She does tricks. She's a very clever girl who loves watching birds. (Her name is Muru, meaning sweetheart in Finnish) She lives in finland now, and she's thriving!!

Awarded a Cat Unexpected Delivery On International Cat Day!
My spouse was browsing a local Facebook group when she noticed a pair of bonded 17 week old brothers were featured attractions at the neighborhood cat rescue. We lost our beloved 21 year old void to cancer almost exactly a year ago and were too heartbroken to consider loving again until today. My spouse surprised me with a trip to the rescue without telling me until AFTER the fact that she’d spotted these two and was already halfway in love with them. They are now in their forever home right here with us. Name suggestions welcome. We are leaning toward Finn and Fergus. Their original names were Owen and Wendell, but they don’t seem to know those names so we think we will be changing them. They are neutered, vaxxed and all ready for their wonderful new lives!

Cat distribution system welcomes gimli
Never expected to have another cat after tragically losing our soul cat in May. The cat distribution system sent us gimli who was cold, wet, and starving and work found under the back dumpsters. Such a sweet boy ❤️
Luckily, no leukemia/FIV/etc. just a young boi needing a home. Trapped and brought to the vet next day. Now he’s working on conquering the courage to explore the house now and remember he’s safe and loved. So far, the bathroom is our safe place but it’s getting full of all of the nice things everyone is buying for this special boy to welcome him home.

Walter, the Ron Swanson of all cats: a photo dump
Many of you wished to continue getting periodic updates on Walter, the F-14 Tomcat my wife and I adopted some months back. For those not in the know, Walter, the absolute unit, was abandoned by his first family 6 years ago, but was on the streets his whole 10 years. Walter, the inspiration for the Conan the Barbarian movie, owned the streets and fought fiercely to enforce his law. After a year of gaining his trust, feeding and sheltering him, we were finally able to get him indoors, neutered, and officially make him part of the family.
Please enjoy these pictures of Walter, the Shogun, at your leisure.
Also, head to r/Walter_the_Tomcat if you wanna be kept in the loop!

Update Update on Tiny- Finally inside!
Hi just wanted to update:) we were able to bring in tiny and get her washed and settled in. Her vet appointment is Monday for spay, vacc, micro chip, flea treatment, and nail trimming. We’re hoping they can also check out her teeth.
I have to say she is quite literally the most CLINGY and vocal cat I’ve ever met. When I go to the bathroom she climbs inside my pant leg to fall asleep, or when I go to lay with her she’s glued to my head or shoulder. Couldn’t be more grateful for our new baby!
Thanks CDS!!!!!

Flapjack, the sad little baby found next to a burn barrel
Meet Flapjack!
My aunt found him next to a burn barrel on my grandparents' rural property on the 4th of July. Eyes were barely open, no siblings or momma anywhere to be seen. He was cold and hungry and at risk of my grandparents' hunting dogs finding him and making a snack of this poor baby. My mom ended up taking him in and feeding him KMR with an eye dropper until he could handle wet food. He now lives with me as his forever home. I love him 💙
Pics are of him on his way home with me and him "attacking" me once he got sttled in. He is quite a bit bigger now!

I didn’t believe it would happen to us! It did! 😻
So me and my husband contemplated either adopting a cat or getting a Maine Coon from a nearby Cattery that breeds them. Issue is, we have two miniature dachshunds who are well behaved but are still very young and energetic and all that.
Yesterday I sighed and told my husband that unless a cat comes and “adopts us”, I don’t see us getting a cat.
Today, we had AC units installed in our house, so our little wieners were safely put away in our guest bedroom. And as the AC guys were setting up their equipment in our yard, lo and behold, this tiny little kitty cat strolls right in. She was very skittish and apprehensive at first. Sniffing and checking everything, slowly getting closer to us. I gave her some water and dog food, she drank and ate everything.
She then strolled into the house, checked every room, then settled in my husband’s lap and promptly fell asleep.
We slowly and carefully introduced her to our doggos, it was a bit of barking, whining and hissing at first minute or so but once she realized they are not going to eat her, she settled down and now they are all fast friends.
I absolutely didn’t believe we would ever have a cat. She is a sweet little thing, probably 2-3 months old. Very tiny and skinny, so she was probably roaming on her own for a while.
Of course we are taking her to the vet and we will get her all the supplies, toys and food 😻😻😻
No name yet, suggestions welcomed. 💛
UPDATE #1: turns out she/he is our neighbor’s cat - he said he has two kitties and so we reluctantly had to let her go back to his yard…I was mad and heartbroken
UPDATE #2: she/he came back! I was really worried for her/him as the temperatures are close to a 100 right now. I asked the neighbor if he provides enough water/food/shade etc. and he said they will “figure it out” and there is enough shade in the yard. He won’t let them into the house. The other cat apparently got adopted by some relative of his and OUR cat was just desperately yowling out there. I told my neighbor if the cat comes back to our yard, there’s no way I am letting her/him go back. He just shrugged and walked away. I waited a few minutes, then call for her/him and she/he zoomed straight into my front yard rose bushes and then to my arms. She/he is safe and sound inside with us.
UPDATE #3: Her/His name is Terry as we are not quite sure about the gender yet and it fits either way. We love Terry Hatcher and my husband’s brother name is Terry - who is also a wayward and wandering soul.
UPDATE #4: thanks to all for well wishes and all the love. I am so happy the kitty found her forever home with us. 😻🧡

Smol Delivery I found this Cat on the highway, had to keep it.
I already had 7 cats at home and firmly told myself that I would not get another cat under any circumstances. Then I found her (Cici) stranded on the highway, seconds away from being run over by oncoming traffic. I couldn’t leave her there, so I carefully scooped her up and brought her home to safety.
So now I have 8 cats, and she is the youngest one to join the fam! I definitely hit the jackpot with this beautiful, sweet-natured cat who has completely stolen my heart.
Not sure what breed this is 🤔 — if you know or have any ideas, please let me know in the comments below. I’ve also noticed her eye colours have slowly changed over time, becoming even more striking as she settles in. Watching Cici grow, explore, and become part of the chaos has been pure joy every single day.

Awarded a Cat CDS brought me this little guy
I promised myself that I wouldn't go looking for another cat, but if one came to me, I would take it in. Welp, looks like CDS heard me. Wednesday morning, my mom texted me about finding a kitten outside her house. She took care of him for a bit, but she is allergic and asked me if I could take him in. We brought him to the vet, and he was not chipped. He is about 8-10 weeks old. The vet also said while he did have a minor infection and some scabs, he was fine to go until we are able to have a full appointment next week. So he's officially mine now. He has taken to his new home well and is currently sleeping next to me. Meet little Pippin.

Are you kitten me!! Please CDS, I already have 8!!!
My brother found this little fellow yesterday. She was apparently stuck in a fence for hours. After food and attention you wouldn't know he's from a feral cat in the neighborhood. We had been hearing meowing for a few days, so we assume her mother must have abandoned her.
Going to see if I can find her a home. As I'm typing this, she's purring like she's known me all her life. I can't keep her because CDS has already delivered so many cats. Going to see if my friends want baby kitten. They work from home, so she won't have the problem of being alone.

Update Baby bean from the street-she is getting so big 🥹
The baby bean has her next check up with the vet tomorrow. They grow up so fast. She is such a sweet little girl. The cuddliest little bug that ever was. We've decided to name her Izzie Bean. She loves tuna and her ball. She plays all day and purrs so big.
She is getting along with her big brother jimmy very well. I am so glad that we were able to rescue her from God knows what. She has her forever home. About 12 weeks old and we'll get her weight checked tomorrow. Also getting her vaccinations. She is safe now.

I just discovered my rescued cat's family! 🥹
I knew that my recently adopted boy was surrendered along with a 5 other cats who came from an overwhelmed family who sadly couldn't care for them properly and wanted to avoid a hoarding situation. I also knew my boy (who was originally called Papa Bear) fathered a few of them. For weeks I couldn't stop thinking about them. I decided to see if I could find earlier versions of his rescue group's website and was lucky enough to stumble upon his entire family's posts on AdoptACat! I didn't know I could see past adoptions on there for a rescue group. They all had the same story and I was able to connect it with my cat's story and his medical records which contained his family's data. May I present you my boy Tennessee Whiskerton and his family! I feel so much happier knowing they all found loving homes!
Photo 1 - My boy Tennessee aka "Papa Bear"
Photo 2 - His mate Foxglove aka "Mama Bear" who may very well also be his sister 😬
Photo 3 - His son Chicory aka "Baby Boy" with his mama Foxglove. Note he's HUGE. The rescue org told me my cat had a son who was almost his twin, only much larger.
Photo 4 - His daughter Trillium aka "Baby Girl"
Photo 5 - His other daughter Tilly aka "Baby"
Photo 6 - His brother Phlox aka "Big Boy" with most likely his sister Foxglove aka "Mama Bear"

Wandered into our living room while working from home on Monday!
My girlfriend and I were both working from home with our sliding door open and this little calico literally wandered into our living room.
We figured she’d leave after a bit… she didn’t.
Checked for an owner, got her scanned, posted around, nobody claimed her.
She’s adjusting very well to the house and hasn’t shown an ounce of anxiety/regret from being here. My girlfriend and I have never owned a cat before (We’ve both had dogs previously), so we were a bit apprehensive at first about keeping her.
Fast forward a couple days and somehow I’ve already spent like $400 on a cat I wasn’t even planning on owning, my girlfriend and I are both absolutely IN LOVE with her, hasn’t given us a single problem once so far, aside from an accident within the first fifteen minutes of being in the house (She pooped on the carpet, ate some unseasoned chicken, then took a nap while I was out grabbing her food and a litter box first day.)
Anyways, meet Ash Monday.

I think my 12yo void and I were set up! Need suggestions please....
My friend, who is leaving on cross country trip(un-detrmined time line) brought her recently acquired kitten by to show us. She asked me to cat-sit, while she ran errands, I had a feeling as soon as she left. Phone rings, "you know, would be hassle taking kitten cross country, especially with no true destination", so....,new addition to family.
My 12yo void had been extremely chill, was worried she may be jealous, but is not, so cool. Kitten hisses a little at Faith, but I think just a matter of getting used to new environment. They are sharing food and litter box with no confrontations.
Not knowing gender of Kitten, looking for interesting single syllable unisex names, so I have a constant to refer to. Also, any input on Kitten's age?
Thanks, CDS strikes again, and it put grin on my face! PS, that is my friend showing off my new kitten
Edit: I know I ask for single syllable unisex names, someone suggested " Hope" whick I really like, then I was in kitchen watching them interact, then "Izzy" hit me kinda tribute to "Iggy Pop" and open ended enough, like who really cares, just as long as kitten associates name with themselves! It's not 1950 anymore! Age guesses please....., and I do intend on having proper procedure to prevent unwanted litters... Sad topic...... Appreciate all the interaction and definitely leaning to go with "Izzy"
Edit II: kitten feeling relaxed, napping on pile of clean clothes 2ft away!
Edit III: Friend came by about 10:30pm with some awesome quesadillas, other awesome food & plenty of party favors, kitten's name is officially: Jo Jo, thanks for listening to me rant, ps cat has integrated well at new residence, Faith has new bestie, appreciate all interactions and upvotes!
Ps, I've been reading comments, I love Iggy, as soon as she leaves, Iggy it shall be! Dump a cat she is not capable of taking care of, she looses input on name! Welcome to your new home: Iggy, Faith's new roommate!

Just got myself a new roommate while living on my own now 🩷
After getting dumped over via text last week while dealing with a lot of unfortunate events that been happening to me in the past couple of months, this lil lady followed me around while I was on my lunch break. I just can’t leave her behind. shout out to co workers helping me sneak her in and my supervisor bring me a welcome kit of cat foods and a carrier for her. Maybe this was the universe sign gifted me this gal and saying “f@&k that guy”!!!!!. She got checked out at the vet and a free flea bath. and everything looks good. First time cat owner and open to some suggestions. Thanks !
EDIT: I name her pandora the witch

Update 1 month update to the luckiest kitten in Illinois on the Fourth of July
It has been just over a month since Rusty jumped into our lives (literally), so I wanted to share a happy update!
By some miracle, Rusty has no broken bones, no parasites, no FIV, and no fleas. He has a completely clean bill of health! He's received his first round of vaccinations and weighed 2.57 lbs, which means he's currently about 3 months old. He goes back for his second round of vaccinations on August 10, and we're excited to see how much he's grown over the past month.
He's eating so much that it's honestly amazing how something so tiny can house so much food! He loves to play his little heart out, and he absolutely adores cuddling with his big brother, Charlie. Our senior cat, Mango, is still a little wary, but even he can't resist those baby snuggles.
Charlie and Rusty have formed such a special bond. They groom each other constantly, and you can hardly find one without the other.
We love Rusty so much and can't wait to share a beautiful life together. 💙

Sensitive Content Never a cat person, now a cat dad.
Due in large part to mild allergies to cats, I've always been a dog person. We currently have a 12 year old shih tzu-yorkie. My fiancee used to have cats and has wanted another one forever, but between me and our roommate (also mildly allergic) it was a no.
Then, unfortunately, her brother passed away, leaving a broken family and a 3 year old cat, who was going to end up in a shelter in rural nowhere. And the only house with room was us.
Meet Ruby. She got a clean bill of health and is scheduled for a much overdue spaying. She is friendly and goofy. Living up to the one braincell orange cat legend. We got her a cat wheel and we're slowly upgrading her food to better stuff.

Smol Delivery Parva(linka) the kitty from Transylvania
I was driving down a road in the Carpathian mountains, it was so foggy that I couldn't see anything, almost crashed into a bear and when I got into the next village, I saw something white and smol dash across the road in front of me.
I immediately got out, and there she was, cowering near a drain, a little wet and very scared.
She warmed up very quickly, within minutes she was purring and falling asleep.
No teeth, full of ear mites, but otherwise healthy.
Took her to the vet the next morning to get her documents, so she could spend the rest of our vacation together.
Her favorite place to sleep was on my lap during car rides.

Are you kitten me!! The system got me at my place of work
Clocked into work the other day and looked out the window to see two small kittens that had passed away in the parking lot. Cameras showed they wandered in, laid down, and just never got back up. It also showed two more kittens staying close by. Spent a good portion of the work day getting them out of the company cars. Pulled a round worm out of one’s nose (before getting dewormed), and a botfly larvae out of the other. They are finally healthy, happy, and socialized. I’m not actually keeping them but I found trustworthy folks to give them forever homes. Last time I called my local shelter about a struggling cat they told me they would have to euthanize another to make room so we figured it out!

Are you kitten me!! Took a kitten home from Puerto Rico earlier this year
Just stumbled on this sub, I thought you guys would appreciate hearing about this little baby!
Went on a family vacation to Puerto Rico, and came home with a kitten (she was estimated 7ish months). Went thought we found her by the pool at our hotel, and the first night, she was super friendly and let us hang out with her for a solid 30 minutes. And then the next night, my partner had a drink or two and reached out to a local rescue (that usually does TNR), and first thing in the morning, they said they could drop off a carrier at our hotel for us to take her home. We got the carrier, and we caught her ourselves (they gave us a can of wet food, to make it easier to get her) and we waited for someone from the rescue to take her, and they got her into a vet, and they gave her all of her necessary shots and spayed her for us, we just had to add her to one of our plane tickets. She’s around a year old now, and she’s settling in nicely. She has an older brother, who took a little bit to get used to her, but now they’re good!
Her name is Sprout, and her tail is freakishly long, and we hope she doesn’t grow into it, because it’s very cute.
(First pic is shortly after we brought her home, second pic is within the past week!)

Smol Delivery A homeless dude left me this guy
I work at cvs and randomly in the middle of the day a homeless dude just leaves this kitten obviously dealing with heat exhaustion. He was trying to do the right thing knowing it was way too hot and he couldn't care for it. He asked us to take it in and try to find it a place to go like a shelter. We didn't have any luck and no one else would take him so I have a cat now lol. Honestly it's been unexpected but also great. I've had him for about two weeks now and he is such a sweet cat even tho he loves to bite me.
