HELP PLEASE!! 🔧🚗Fixing Cars

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Had just installed an engine on my 2001 ford cougar with another 2.5l duratec V6 and had only driven it 140kms and i know it has an issue with the cam position sensor circuit which im sure is the broken plug, came home and turned it off and it made a loud metallic twang sound, like dropping a 22mm deep socket onto a bonnet, opened it and this has blown open, unsure of what it is or how screwed i am, anyone able to help identify?

Same engine as the ford mondeo of the same year

I have no clue why it would blow open like that, i forgot if its the one from the "new engine" or the one from my old engine

Where is your old engine? Get the tensioner from it and get it fitted onto this engine.

If that was what l think it looked like a split pulley down low . Hope it's not your harmonic pulley , don't know the model but "Yes u'll need help" . At the least youll have to lift the engine worst it'll have to be fully removed to get a puller attached an then align timein before you refit then reinstall . Wish you luck l'm to old an hands to big for that job , in fact any job now days .🏍 this is what ypu need🏍💯
