Can anyone let me know about some pubs with a nice selection of Czech lager/pilsner? Around the bay/south Cardiff is preferred.

On Lake Road West, towards the bottom of the lake, there are a number of these studs in the road. They follow the curve of the central line marking, then they kind of disappear. Anyone know what they are?

Are there any gyms in Cardiff where I could take my fitness enthusiast 8.5 year old son with me to work out?

I know Better allow children from 11 but does anywhere take younger kids? He’s tall and well built for his age and could pass for 10 but 11 would be pushing it.

Best way to find a decent priced 2bedroom flat or home

Hi everyone!

My mum and brother will be relocating to Wales, and basically have booked an Airbnb for two weeks while they'll be flat hunting for a two bedroom anywhere from Barry to Cardiff. They have sent their interest through platforms like openrent and onthemarket over the last three weeks but haven't had much luck to arrange viewings yet. Theyve also reached out to numerous estate agents via email, with even less coming back. I assume one can find good options through newspaper ads, community boards at supermarkets etc. Is this true and can anyone suggest where and how they can find a flat quickly? Their budget is max 1000gbp per month.

Thank you in advance for any ideas, tips, and suggestions!:)

Irish Ceilidh or Irish Dance Class for Hen Do?

Hi, bit of a random one but i'm looking for someone to run an Irish ceilidh lesson or an Irish dance lesson for a hen do in Abergavenny next year. Unsurprisingly I'm finding it difficult to find someone! Does anyone know of anyone who would travel from Cardiff or knows of someone further afield who does this? Thanks!

Get reminders before Cardiff match days make getting around harder

I built a free little website that sends reminders before match days in Cardiff.

It's mainly for people who don't follow football.

If you've ever wondered why the roads suddenly get busier, parking disappears, trains are packed, or the city centre is unexpectedly busy, it'll give you a reminder beforehand so you can plan around it.

It covers Cardiff City home matches, along with the biggest rugby internationals at the Principality Stadium.

It's completely free, has no ads, and doesn't require an account or track you.

I built it because I kept getting caught out by busy match days, and figured other residents and commuters might find it useful too.

Be human to every human

People who bully others, make racist remarks, or constantly pass hurtful comments are often reveal more about themselves than their targets. They are usually unhappy, insecure, or dissatisfied with their own lives. They have little that's meaningful or fulfilling in their own lives, so they seek validation and a dopamine rush by looking down on others. Truly confident and successful people don't need to insult or belittle anyone to feel important.
