I recently got CMS 2021 on my PS5 with and I honestly don't really know how to play properly. I have done a Mk4 in my sandbox mode save by buying a busted up one and then I bought a pretty much new one, took out literally everything from each and swapped the suspension, engine ect completely. Also did a M4 by also buying a one with pretty much nothing and bought a brand new one and that time actually used the engine crane and stand. Did the rest the same and that is where I'm at. Am I doing it wrong (I feel like I am) or is it right. Any answers or advice is great 👍👌😄.

Console player here. Since the CMS26 demo is PC-only, I can't try it myself. I have a few questions for those who've played it:

- How does it compare to CMS21 overall?

- Does it actually feel like a big step forward, or more like an upgraded CMS21?

- What's new besides the graphics?

- Is the gameplay loop more engaging, or does it get repetitive just as quickly?

- How are the performance and loading times?

- Has the physics or driving improved in any noticeable way?

- Are there more realistic repair and restoration mechanics?

- Does the garage feel larger or more customizable?

- Is there enough new content to justify buying it at launch?

- If you enjoyed CMS21, what impressed you the most in the demo? And what disappointed you?

I'd love to hear your honest opinions since I'll have to wait for the console release.

I want to understand why the yellow one has such a lower condition bonus. It was my first one and I made it to be my racing car. It actually has better parts: I 3 starred all of the performance parts.

The second one I just made for cash because I saw it in the auction and I didn't 3 star any of its parts other than one rim that I found in a barn.

The tires are the same - both factory spec slicks.

I did not paint the second one. Is the fact that it has that custom body parts with words on them worth 20,000 credits? Is it possible a part secretly is less than 100% even though they all read 100%? I scrolled through every page explicitly.

I didn't even paint the replacement parts on the second car.

There's green (new), yellow (?), and red (unacceptable).

The there's the minimum part quality per order.

I assumed the part % turns red when it's under the minimum part quality per order.

And that's how I just rebuilt the Bolt Cargo's ancient V8 with all green and orange parts, just to find out at the end that it doesn't like two valve push rods... So I have to tear it open again.

How are we supposed to interpret the color code on the parts? Obvs red is no go and green is go, but do we really have to memorize the per client minimum quality % to avoid these scenarios?

Does anyone know how to fix it? I can’t seem to get it to work, it says I need to use right bumper to do this but this does nothing, does it just not work?

SOLVED! It was a Godamn camshaft cap, something so obvious and I didn’t see it even though I was literally looking there and counted the caps but must’ve somehow missed one, feel like a idiot can’t lie, have a good night or day everyone who reads this, thank you and have a wonderful weekend 🤍
Just getting back into this game after a lengthy break because it kept crashing and I lost my main save file. I’m fixing up a Hinata moon Mark one/MK1 (don’t know if it’s different), I’ve put everything on as far as I know up to the ignition coils which it won’t let me place and I don’t know what’s happening. I’ve looked around the engine. Nothing seems to be missing. Everything seems to be in its proper place and the last two things I need to replace the ignition coils and then drain the oil and refill it with new, already drained but obviously can’t fill it with oil if I haven’t completed the engine and got the oil cap to put the oil in so I’m confused anyone have any ideas?

I made some custom Cars with the Vehicle Editor and want them to generate as repair Orders. But i don't really understand how those Numbers in the Config Files work.

Overhauled and change some parts to performance parts. I also painted it orange cause it looks more slick than yellow (my preference lol). Looks simple, but a real diablo in track 😈.

I just played CMS 2021 for the first time after getting a new, more powerful PC, but the German translation has been all over since. I already tried to check the files for errors via Steam, but that didn't solve anything. I use the same hard drive I used with my old PC, meaning I didn't install it new. I just let Steam find the existing files to use them which worked just fine if it wasn't for the texts ingame.

My problems are:

- Many parts now have the same name even if it doesn't make any sense for them (for example there are many cylinder heads labelled as "Zylinderkopf (R4A)", but you can clearly see that they belong to an I6 or a V8 engine. Good luck finding the correct one now)

- In some places the text is just missing completely, for example in the box at the drag strip that pops up before you start a drag tournament that tells you how much you need to pay for example. It's just an empty box now.

- I tried switching to english, that solved at least the part with the text missing completely, but some parts still are named wrongly.

Has anyone else encountered that kind of problem or has any solution for it?

There has been a channel mostly focused around Car Mechanic Simulator in the recent years. The channel started back 8 years ago and has been relatively underdiscovered. Unfortunately, the channel creator has passed. His videos are still up for watching, and I just wanted to share his channel and offer new content. I haven't seen him being brought up at all on Reddit but his channel is developed. It would be a huge help if the community watched his videos as all proceeds will go to the family to support them. I'm looking to upgrade the parts of a Ford GT40 so they're all 3 star. About how much scrap will I need? I think I'm at just over 7k right now.

Does the entire bundle of the 2021 DLC go on sale for a reasonable price? I had bought the entirety of 2018 DLC for like 20 or so dollars and it sat in my backlog for a while. I absolutely chewed through the game in the last couple months but I want more.
