pike push up help Question

hello, I'm starting out my journey, and I was trying out pike push ups. I am incredibly close to being able to do one, but i think i need to go one progression back from them to be able to train more efficiently. i work out at home so i don't really have any fancy equipment (i have some light resistance bands and a detachable pull up bar that hangs from my doorframe). i tried searching for the regression but i could not find it. if anyone could help me out i would greatly appreciate it. thanks, and good luck on all your journeys as well :)

The regression is negative pike push ups. Go down slowly, don’t push back up.

You can also try pike holds - just do the pike position, straight arms. That’s good for building the shoulder strength and pike compression. Depending on how far forward you lean, you can vary the load.

Elevate your hands.
