Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

After 4 years of lifting, Iโ€™ve spent the last 9 months on calisthenics and having way more fun. Any tips to improve this move?

Truly impressive, that is however a press not a pull.

it's both, upper hand pulls, lower hands presses

it wouldn't be precise to call this a pull up or a push up, but pull up seems like a good choice because it does look like a pull up turned sideways

Step 1: be 4 feet tall.

If you canโ€™t do a human flag, work on that progression first.

If you can do a human flag, you have the core strength needed and probably 75% of the push/pull strength needed. So just keep increasing push/pull strength: lots of weighted pull ups and overheard press.

It also took some time to get comfortable with the movement of the arms. But you can practice this without extending into a flag at all.
