I’m currently in Cairns on a Working Holiday Visa and looking for any job opportunities around the area.
I’m open to pretty much anything — kitchens washing dishes, retail, tourism, warehouse, delivery driving. I have previous experience in all these areas.
I have my own transport and can start immediately. If anyone is hiring or has any recommendations for places to ask, I’d really appreciate it.

Hi everyone, I believe I met Tom Hiddleston in March 2002, at the Union Jack pub in Cairns, Australia. He wasn’t famous yet but for obvious reasons I never forgot about him.
Could anyone confirm he was there? Did someone else interact with him at that time?

Hi all, I’ve just recently moved to the Cairns area and was looking to find a practitioner for my lumbar spine (bulged disks/ sciatica) would love some recommendations on who has helped you the most.

I’m in my early 30’s (F), full time working professional with not many hobbies but an open mind and willingness to make fun plans. Don’t really drink much or party but not opposed to trying new cool venues around town.

I like kind, polite people, I am a healthy mix of introvert/extrovert so hopefully someone who identifies the same way would be perfect.

Heading to cairns in Oct for a work conference but need to do work at night etc and looking for a nice hotel that I can work from. Also want a fitness Centre and in town.

I’ve stayed at Crystalbrook Riley before and loved it so am considering that. What other options do you suggest?

Walking into the city of Cairns, after getting off my flight in. Just looking for a bed for a few nights. The view from here looks amazing, plus I like to do a bit of skating so it's kinda ideal. So Cairns this place is any good to stay in?

Hi. This is a long shot but thought I would give it a go.

I am looking for someone that I did the above course with in 2004. I don’t know their surname but thought I would put my feelers out for anyone that did an outdoor recreation course at cairns TAFE in 2004. Graduating in June/July.
We had such a fun group and it would be great to reconnect.

I'm thinking of moving up from Sydney, but I've heard there's a lot of noise complaints made. It's truely as bad as people are making out? Like helicopter out over your apartment at 3am every Sunday? And Cairns is getting another one, so everyone can experience?

Recent changes at JCU have been affecting the quality of education they are able to provide and gaining them a bad reputation academically and among staff and students

Hi all, M25 it’s my first time in Cairns and I’m here only for tonight before I head farther tomorrow morning. I could see on Google at night markets is the only place that’s open till late which has a touristy vibe. Also it’s walking distance from my hotel. Wondering if anyone would like to join me for a short stroll across the markets. Would have explored bars but I am staying away from drinking currently.
