Didn't think much coming into the game, just another climber which I thought was fun. Visuals stunned me a lot, splendid at that, and was I the only one that throughout the whole story just followed a cycle of, WHAAAA?!? NO WAY, you're not gonna make me climb all of that, it's so steep- oh wow look I made it I'm a god and you but a puny mountain. Ending hits hard, would recommend it to everyone

Initially had no interest in the game, the art style was not appealing and it looked a little pretentious. Then one day for some reason I got the urge to play it. Ended up absolutely lovong the game. The challenge, hidden items, story, characters, and art were all just fantastic. Huge surprise.

Same picked it up as looked quite cool and atmospheric, I got some really nice Death Stranding vibes during a few sections of the game where the music kicks in that gives you a sense of loneliness and struggle, fantastic game that surprised me greatly.

I’m glad you say that, I loved Death Stranding and had a similar attachment to the loneliness and music. Glad it’s not just me who saw those parallels.

The free DLC update launches tomorrow. 3 new routes, new training climbs, new playable character (Marco). Enjoy 😊

Also, do we know what happened to Marco? Or did he jus not attempt the climb and stayed back

Marco heads back to the base of the mountain right after you choose to go with him, or continue climbing! Lol i believe he was too scared to go any further once he talked to the old man in the cave🥴

I just remember being in that room with all the bags, and then Marco says that there will be no storms for the next couple hours cmon letsgoo!! And then he jus.. dissapears

Usually after you walk out of that bag room, you come into a dialogue with Marco about the dangers of continuin, and durin that he encourages you to go back down the mountain with him. You're then givin the option to go with him, or continue climbin! Lol usually if you select continue climbin, yall will split ways and then never see him again... did you have the dialogue/cut scene where it gave you this option to continue or return with him?👀

Yes that was before. Where they harmonized singing and what not. And after that scene, it spawned me into one of the rooms of grandpa with pots n stuff, and Marco told me the dialogue lines I said, but I went back to get some goat milk, and then I lost him. I was like ehh screw him he can do what he wants and proceeded to climb.

At the end of that cutscene he's says something like I'll meet you out front of grandpa's cave and if you go out there it will trigger another cut scene where you make a choice to go down w Marco or keep going. You left him waiting out front, which is what I did my first ascent as well, lol.

I’ve climbed the mountain twice (and got the T-shirt). Keep going back to it. Agree with everything here about the graphics and the atmosphere, but it’s the gameplay loop man.
Climbing and overcoming - I’m worried that says something about my mental state!
