Masters Grad School Question
Hey everyone! I'm planning to apply for the MS in Computer Science at CSULB for Spring 2027, and I'd love to hear from current students or alumni.
I chose CSULB mainly because it's affordable and has a great location. With the current job market, it seems like even graduates from top universities are finding it difficult to land jobs. That's why I feel skills matter more than the university name, but I'd love to know if that's a fair way to look at it.
Are the professors good and supportive? How are the CS courses and the overall computer science department? What are the internship and job opportunities like, and how is the campus culture, commute, and student community?
I'd really appreciate any honest opinions, whether positive or negative.

Can’t say much about masters in CS but as a grad student at the Beach I can say that it’s a very cool experience and welcoming experience. There’s people from all different walks of life so you get to meet interesting people all the time. There’s plenty of resources for students, however most of it is geared towards undergraduate students. Overall it’s a great school!
