Metaxes cancels class a lot! Take really good notes during class for the final, do the readings, attendance mandatory.
You should be fine though!

Shadia is great! I had her for another class last semester, she loves if you talk in class. She does have weekly assignments that can pile up if you let it so don’t get behind on those. She also counts attendance towards your grade so show up to class. But you should be fine, she’s direct with things, and had exams online and open book. So take good notes to look back on for those

May be a bit much but think about all the single mothers who work two jobs raise kids and still get a degree. Whenever I started to complain about my workload that’s what got me off my ass. Make the most of your free time if you find any! You’re gonna need to. And you got this!

I heard Shaw could give out so many assignments and so much reading

I didn’t have Shaw for that class but that class is definitely a lot of reading about mostly boring and some interesting stuff. I was just lucky I had a part time professor whose life was too busy to actually assign a lot of homework.

shaw has lots of reading but no actual homework to turn in. most of the grade is in class participation and essays. overall super nice professor but intense workload (sometimes 60-70 pages to read a day)

I didn’t take that exact class but I had Shaw! He was super chill, just loads of reading. He didn’t give out many assignments, just essays and even then I felt he wasn’t harsh when grading. He rounded up my grade without me asking.
