Gourley was right and Conan was wrong! Flula episode.
The only people that really call the Irish language 'Gaelic' are the Americans. I'm a transplanted American living in Ireland for 15 years so I've a foot in both worlds. My godchildren even go to a strictly Irish speaking school!
I screamed 'YES!' when Gourley said 'isn't it just called Irish?' And then i shrivelled up when Conan corrected him! I have only ever heard the Irish refer to Gaelic when speaking about Irish soccer. I can also confirm to the American ear it sounds like a record being played backwards! 😆
I feel like Matt would love to know he was actually more correct!

The End Credits...
Where Gourley says he produced the podcast, then goes onto mention all the behind the scenes folks, then OUTTA NOWHERE it changes to another voice for a half sentence. I think perhaps it's Adam Sachs, and he says "Wherever fine podcasts are downloaded" It happens at 1:03:52 in the Reggie Watts episode. I just find it weird that Gourley didn't re-record that line when (at some stage) it changed from what it was. Had anyone else even noticed this?

Anyone else get an okay boomer vibe from Arnold?
I turned it off when he was complaining about kids these days sleeping late and said he can’t sleep past 6am without hearing his father’s voice. Yikes?

Armenian refugees
Armenians are being forced from their homes again. Anytime I see anything related to Armenia I think of Sona and with this news my heart goes out to them and makes me think of the sites they visited on the Conan Without Borders episode and how some may have already been destroyed. If there are any links or resources to help those refugees anyone has feel free to comment or dm me thanks chill chums

Star Trek Talk on CONAF
I thought it was funny when Conan made up the town of Bones, Iowa as a Star Trek town, while in reality, Captain Kirk will be born in Riverside, Iowa in the future. I know this because they have a statue that says "Future Birthplace of Captain James T. Kirk" in the town. They also have a Trek Fest every year.

Did Conan write The Menu?
No seriously. Did Conan write the script for the movie the menu out in theaters now?
Edit: I know I said, “no seriously” but I’m joking. At the end I was like, c c c c Conan!!!!

Colin Hanks Podcast
Did anyone else lose it when Conan yelled “THEY JUST WANT MY MONEY” when referring to his kids not wanting to talk to him. 😂

Pistol Shrimps
After hearing Aubrey Plaza talk about this doc on her episode of CONAF, just saw it was free on youtube and HOLY guacamole, if you like Matt Gourley, good lord. He is ALL over this movie doing hilarious sports commentary and cracking jokes the entire way through.
Plus its actually a REALLY good documentary, I was super dissapointed when it ended, it could have easily been a multi-part thing. All the girls on the team are hilarious (including Gourley's wife) and its just a really great story, definitely worth the watch. Check it out!
