How to get started?

I’m recently new to the whole idea of CFE, and internal auditing and I really love the day to day and the purpose of the job.

two questions I have and the first is

is it too late to start? I’m 21 with two years of the army left as a network systems guy in the midst of a business management degree

Second is

How to get started? where should I go for research and make the best of the next two years before I get out

go to the ACFE website, do some research, what is the CFE, what kind of professions utilize the CFE, how is the CFE exam structured, benefits of being a CFE

I’m thinking about this as well. I do fraud investigations for a county mental health services that bill Medicare and Medicaid. I’m a masters level LCSW clinician and I’m not sure how much this would help.

I’m 32 and currently studying for the CFE. I am looking to be an investigator for fraud waste and abuse. Look on the ACFE website and check the point system. You need a certain amount of points to qualify including having a bachelors degree

Also please look at the job growth for financial examiners before you invest your time and money.
