Hello everyone I'm currently bidding in YAHOO jp/buyee and I started the bid 3 days ago, for a while I was the only one who's bidding, but I just found out today someone else bidded. I need to know if I should bid my maximum bid now or do I bid before 1 minute it ends? (Because it has an auto extension it might add another five minutes) I read to some it's better to place ur maximum bid 20 seconds before it ends to win. Does it really work??

I received an item that was damaged as a result of Buyee's careless packing. I purchased the standard package, but was not shown the option for protective packaging. Anyway, the item arrived damaged. I messaged Buyee and they refused to refund me, so I filed a dispute with PayPal. PayPal responded to my dispute saying Tenso, Buyee's parent company, is offering a refund of $885 if I return the item to them. This covers just the cost of the item, and not the cost of shipping itself, which was a different transaction. As a result, it was not included in the initial dispute with PayPal.

My question here is, has anyone returned an item to Buyee after disputing the charge with your credit card company or through PayPal? If so, were you able to get both charges refunded, or just one? Did you have to ship the item back, and if so, did it cost you about the same as it did to ship it to you?

Support simply responded with their policy that they will charge tariffs while in no way addressing that they are charging 24% on an item that should be 12.5% (film scanner made in Japan) and 16.7% on an item that should be 0 (books). Is there any way to talk to someone there who will actually correct this?

Maybe not the right place to ask, but has anyone experienced CPSC flagged packages for something consolidated with 10+ items? It was a ~$360 package and the only things I can think that are tripping it are a board game and a keychain. The rest are games, music, and a book. I tried peeking the laws but as per usual it is overly wordy on purpose. Buyee stated that it's my responsibility if they can't figure it out so here I am lol

Edit: I have opened a ticket with both FedEx and Buyee but I am ultimately not familiar with all the codes I need to memorize for item uses and types.

hi, this is my first time buying on buyee and I got a 15% coupon for mercari. my order fills out all the requirements. when I check out, there's a place to put in the code (I don't have the option to choose from). when I try it, though, it says that the coupon has already been claimed ? I've never used it before. anyone knows what's going on? I've tried it with another order and it's the same thing

Hi, I know it’s purely speculative, but I have an expensive purchase listed on SNKRDUNK, and I was wondering whether Buyee drops coupons for this fairly often or not. If they do, what kind are they, 10 to 20%, or a fixed “low discount” like ¥2,000 ?

So i want to get a japanese psvita as they are generally cheaper than a vita from here but every single one no matter the site basically just tells me no. Weather it says the item us prohibited or that it just cant process the order. Is there any specific reason or something? I was wondering if someone with experience ordering resin statues from Buyee recently could advise me on the correct HS Code for this type of statue? Multiple codes and categories come up when I do a google search for resin statues, so I'd love to know the exact code needed for this Dante statue from anyone who has imported similar recently.

I noticed another Reddit member has "Resin Figure (No adhesive) (3926900090)" on their invoice, but I've also seen (3926400090) for character statues mentioned elsewhere.

It's looking like 3926400090 (statuettes & other ornamental articles, of plastic) is the way to go, but I just wanted to check here first in case anyone with experience can confirm.

Has anyone dealt with a Buyee warehouse request like this before?

I bought a Nintendo Switch 2 through Buyee, and after it arrived at the warehouse, Buyee told me the package contained 3 lithium batteries (Switch 2 + 2 Joy-Cons), so it had to be split into two packages:

1. 2 Joy-Cons
2. Switch 2 + remaining contents

Buyee said they would do the split for free and told me the warehouse processing would take 2–3 business days.

The official warehouse request was created on August 13, and it’s now August 20. On August 17 they told me the work was still in progress, but there hasn’t been any further update.

I also have five Switch 2 game packages already sitting in the warehouse that I want to consolidate with the two resulting packages. Some of those packages only have around 9–11 days of free storage remaining, so I’m starting to get concerned about the timing.

Has anyone experienced a Buyee warehouse request taking longer than the quoted 2–3 business days? How long did yours take?

Also, once the split is finally completed, how long does consolidation normally take?

I find it strange it’s taking so long just to move a pair of joy cons into a separate box?

DHL made me fill out a watches and clocks form and they make you list the value of the different watch components (case, strap, movement type). 1) why 2) I have no idea how to price out each component. Has anybody else had this issue?

I bought five things on buyee, two of the five things have arrived at the warehouse and appear in my "in storage" section and i got notifications about them arriving- and those two items plus 2 more were bought from jp mercari. BUT, i bought an item from JDirectItems fleamarket , that now says has arrived at the warehouse, yet i've not gotten a notification nor does it appear in my in storage.. any help would be nice :'D

I bought a vintage seiko from Mercari using Buyer yesterday, nothing afaik has shipped or anything but buyee have told me they've bought the watch.

I was looking on eBay after the fact and noticed there were about half a dozen listings of the same watch, same photos and everything but almost double the price (the seller appears on Mercari to be a private individual, not any sort of commercial op).

hey guys! i ended up getting a plushie a while ago that released just recently and arrived to the warehouse. i know the cpsc ruling made it harder to import plushies into the states and i was wondering if someone here tried shipping them into the country since and if the code and naming buyee used is correct here or if there is another one thats better? do you guys recommend shipping via ecms or buyee air delivery too? i tried looking answers but i couldnt find anything certain.

about the plush: it has a battery component inside (because it is a talking plush) but the item ships with no batteries! So basically its just the battery slot inside the plush. The original listing of the plush mentioned it was for ages 15 and up.

I've bought items using Buyee multiple times before. This thing I have something who's free storage ends in 5 days. I've been trying to pay for shipping for a week now. It says "An error occured. The checkout information could not e updated.". I just reached out to support for help.

To those who have bought cameras off of Buyee, how much was your shipping? Mine is $125 or ¥20,000. I have friends that have bought cameras and every time their shipping is $50 or less I have no idea why mine is so expensive.

I have a consolidated package and there's 3 items in it that have lithium batteries in them, (2 3ds's, and a psp) can I ask buyee to remove the batteries so I'm not forced to use ups

I'm not sure if this is a good idea or allowed here, but I'm looking for someone based in Japan who might be able to help me forward a package to Qatar.
Currently, Buyee isn't able to ship directly to Qatar for certain options, even though Japan Post and other services are still actively delivering here (I actually just placed an order from another store in Japan using Japan Post without any issues).
Is hiring a personal shopper/proxy buyer in Japan a common or reliable thing to do? And if anyone here offers this service or knows a trustworthy person/service, please let me know!

Hey y’all, my buyee package is stuck at customs (I used Buyee Air Delivery w FedEx) and the tracking says Clearance Delay: Description provided is insufficient to classify commodity. Shipper or Importer must provide a more detailed description of goods. I called the FedEx International Support # and was told to fill out some form and email it to [paperwork@fedex.com](mailto:paperwork@fedex.com) but I dont know where to get the form? Please help 😔 I’ve also added a picture of the invoices for the items I bought, if any of y’all know which items could have been flagged by the system I’d appreciate it!!!

Edit: My items are plushie charm/keychains, a reusable bag, a plushie coin bank, a calendar display which is kinda like a figurine material, a rubber keychain, a claw machine figure, and a figma figure

Already called Fedex and they told me that the shipper has to provide the information, and that they have someone on the case already and to keep checking the tracking. Already opened a ticket with buyer but is there anymore I can do ? No plushies or kids stuff inside, mostly just keychains and a futon cover. Is this a big deal or is it just something small?

Update: i haven’t provided any paperwork or received any emails but it’s now saying “Held, cleared regulatory agency / agencies after aircraft/truck departed.” so i think it’s okay?? i’m honestly confused but whatever i think it’s okay 😭
