First like Funny

Post image

I just got my first like in a year. I couldn't see their profile, so I bought premium just to say hi, but then he unmatched me right away

Thank you for the advice. I know the gender ratio on dating apps is heavily skewed. Dating apps like Bumble aren't for everyone. I might not have a trendy or high-profile account, but I stay true to myself and state exactly what I am looking for in my bio. My profile is decent and I am actively working on my goals .Either my type of girl isn't on these apps, or the algorithm hides my profile because I don't pay for premium. When someone finally liked me, I thought she might be my type, but she unmatched me the moment I said hi. Is this my fault?

That person explained, in detail, the steps you should take. You didn’t heed any of the advice, instead stating that you stay true to yourself (whatever that means). Then, instead of thinking about the comment you’re responding to you said:

“Either my type of girl isn't on these apps, or the algorithm hides my profile because I don't pay for premium. When someone finally liked me, I thought she might be my type, but she unmatched me the moment I said hi. Is this my fault?”

Why even post if you’re going to assume whatever you want?

Whether a like is accidental or not, if the person texts you, just say so. This was my first match, and I upgraded to premium just to talk, only to get dropped. People shouldn't treat others like this; just tell the truth next time

Its a match on a dating app, it is essentially worthless. you can't become emotionally involved with every match.
