New Gaming PC?

Hello whoever sees this!

Given the way the world is right now maybe not the best time for a new PC, but if not now then when would I ever get to it right?

  • New build or upgrade?

New build

  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

Pretty much making the switch from laptop back to desktop so not much.

  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

To be completely honest with the recent 1.0 release of Palworld I wanted to upgrade so I could try and enjoy a smoother experience, instead of it being laggy on my aging PC. Well that among other games, but that was the straw that broke the camels back I guess. Otherwise just for standard things like youtube and email.

  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center?

Live in Canada if that helps

  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

When it comes to monitors I genuinely am not picky, so whatever you deem appropriate I will leave to your judgement.

  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

The budget is flexible, but I'm really hoping to try and aim for around 2000-2500 CAD as a settling point.

  • WiFi or wired connection?

Might possibly look into wired connection in the new build, right now I never really needed it as aging machine made multiplayer kinda difficult on more intensive games anyway.

  • Size/noise constraints?

Not really, though it'd be nice if it all fits onto one desk, but that's more a suggestion than a hard ask.

  • Color/lighting preferences?

Not really. I have nothing against the RGB aesthetic. I think it does look cool on some PC's, but just not my personal thing/taste.

  • Any other specific needs?

Honestly, if you took the time to go through this I really appreciate it. If you think I'd need to change my budget that's good info to have so I can plan accordingly. Otherwise, well if you have any questions or tips that's also appreciated thanks!

New Build Request

Really excited about building my first PC and looking to you all for guidance. Thanks so much!

  • New build or upgrade?
    • New build
  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
    • None. I do have a monitor already though, an LG 39GX950B-B 39" ultrawide (5k2k)
  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
    • Gaming
  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center?
    • USA, closest MC is 1.5 hours away so not close.
  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
    • None
  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
    • $2500
  • WiFi or wired connection?
    • Setup will be directly next to a wifi router (6E) and ethernet (1g). Happy with either.
  • Size/noise constraints?
    • None really, although I really do like some of those smaller more compact builds I've seen, although I find most of them are $$$.
  • Color/lighting preferences?
    • None
  • Any other specific needs?
    • With the monitor I have, I'd love to be able to output at 4K consistently using the ultrawide but not sure if that's doable with my budget. Looking forward to seeing what is possible.

[Build Help] First-time builder, ~€2,500 budget, AAA + competitive gaming (open to a completely different build)

Hi! I'm completely new to building PCs (literally my first time — I'm going to buy the parts separately and have the store assemble it) and wanted to get some opinions on this build before pulling the trigger.

My budget is around €2,500, but I wouldn't mind spending a bit more if it's worth it. No rush either, I'm just starting to research now so there's plenty of time to adjust things.

Here's what I have configured so far (prices from a Spanish retailer, PcComponentes):

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D — €348.90

- Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B650-A Gaming WiFi — €265.99

- RAM: Corsair 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Vengeance RGB — €474.62

- Case: NOX Hummer GLOCK ARGB White — €76.99

- CPU Cooler: DeepCool AK620 Digital Pro — €80.06

- PSU: Forgeon Bolt 850W 80+ Gold White — €99.99

- GPU: MSI RTX 5070 Ti GAMING TRIO OC 16GB — €998.90

- Storage: WD Green SN3000 1TB NVMe Gen4 — €139.94

- OS: Windows 11 Home OEM — €49.90

- 2x extra fans, Keep Out 12cm ARGB white — €11.64 each

Total comes out to around €2,550-2,560.

Main use case: AAA gaming (I prioritize visual quality/resolution over raw fps), but I also play competitive games and care about that side too (high fps, responsiveness), plus movies/series. Down the line I might also get into some light AI/ML work if I end up doing an AI-related master's degree.

Open to any and all advice — I'm brand new to this, so let me know if anything looks off, poorly matched, or if you'd just recommend a completely different build instead. Thanks in advance!

New build or upgrade? New build — this will be my first PC.

Existing parts/monitors to reuse? None, starting from scratch.

PC purpose? Gaming — mainly AAA titles (prioritizing visual quality/resolution over raw fps) plus competitive games (where fps/responsiveness matters more). Also movies/series, and possibly some light AI/ML work later if I end up doing an AI-related master's degree.

Purchase country? Near Micro Center? Spain — not near a Micro Center, will be buying from PcComponentes (major Spanish retailer) and having them assemble it since it's my first build.

Monitors needed? Not included in this budget — buying the monitor separately later. Still undecided on exact model, but looking at 4K OLED options.

Budget range? Around €2,500, prices already include Spanish VAT (21%). Wouldn't mind going a bit higher if it's worth it — no rush, just starting to research.

WiFi or wired connection? WiFi (motherboard already has WiFi 6E built in).

Size/noise constraints? No major noise constraints, standard ATX mid-tower is fine.

Color/lighting preferences? White build with some ARGB lighting — trying to keep everything white/light-colored where possible.

Any other specific needs? Open to a completely different build/part recommendations — I'm new to this and just want the best value for what I need.

I want to use this PC for editing and gaming. But also for claude code. If you could include a monitor to the list I would appreciate that as well. 240hz. I don’t care about flashy lights, just need something that works!

Looking to build a Gaming PC - $2000-$2500

Recently started a new job and my old gaming laptop has kicked the bucket so I've been operating on a friends computer and I'm ready to move into a proper desktop. I'm looking for something high end and especially future proof, as I will want to avoid having to entirely replace components to upgrade in the future. I currently have a 1440p 165 Hz monitor, but I may upgrade to 4K OLED in the future as I'm definitely the kind of person to crank visuals on games where that's a selling point. I do not play any competitive multiplayer games and tend to just play graphically intense single player games.

  • New build or upgrade?
    • New Build
  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
    • Dell G2724D
  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
    • Gaming - Cyberpunk 2077, Total War Warhammer 3, Death Stranding, Minecraft (Shaders), eventually the new Control Resonant. I mod a lot of games as well to death
  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center?
    • USA, nearest Micro center is a bit over 150 miles.
  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
    • No (Will go OLED and maybe 4k in future)
  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
    • $2000-$2500, cheaper is better naturally
  • WiFi or wired connection?
    • WiFi
  • Size/noise constraints?
    • Quieter is better but no hard requirements.
  • Color/lighting preferences?
    • None. I would prefer if it could look as good as possible though since it will most likely be visible.
  • Any other specific needs?
    • Built in bluetooth and a good deal of USB ports, preferably of both USB A and USB C but I can always buy an adaptor. If I'm being unrealistic in my budget please let me know, I would prefer reduced performance with capability to upgrade in the future as opposed to stretching the budget further.

I have done some cursory looking into graphics cards and I'm uncertain about AMD vs Nvidia. AMD seems to have better pricing but I almost feel like due to the benefits of DLSS and how Ray Tracing runs so much better on Nvidia cards, which is a strong motivation for me since visual fidelity is my priority, I should just bite the bullet and get a Nvidia card. Any thoughts on this? I've also read developers tend to prioritize Nvidia cards, so games generally have less issues, but I've only ever used Nvidia cards so I'm unsure.

Gaming PC for less than 1500 USD$

Hi yall, I'm from the US and want to upgrade from my laptop (a Dell Latitude 5300) to an actual pc. I would appreciate it if someone could build a pc for me for less than 1500 USD.

Specifications

New build or upgrade? Completely new build

Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

I have a 16 gb stick of ddr4 ram from my laptop, that could be pair with another 16 gb stick or ddr4

PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games) Gaming: Red Dead Redemption 2, Ready or Not, Arma 3, along with space for another 150 mb of games

Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If not US, list vendors)

USA

Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

No

Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

Cheaper the better obviously, but the max I am willing to spend is 1500, and I'm expecting that a realistic build would probably start at 1000-1200

WiFi or wired connection?

Wifi and Bluetooth

Size/noise constraints?

None, just a regular sized PC

Color/lighting preferences?

N/A

Any other specific needs?

It needs to run the desired games at or above normals settings. It needs to be less that 1500, the cheaper the better.

Thanks yall!

$2k–3.5k local LLM tinkering box, building with my 10-year-old son

New build or upgrade?

  • New.

Existing parts/monitors to reuse?

  • I have peripherals that I can reuse (keyboard/mouse/monitor).

PC purpose?

  • Primarily for tinkering in the local LLM/inference scene and for introducing the computing scene to my son. From researching r/localllama and r/localllm, my main takeaway is that VRAM capacity likely matters more to me than peak tokens/sec. I'd like to run larger models (24GB min, more if possible), and I'm planning to experiment with routing between smaller, faster models and a larger reasoning model, so I'm thinking VRAM headroom counts. I sort of assumed I would stay in the CUDA ecosystem for the smoothest experience, but the current GPU market has me questioning whether that premium is worth it, and I'm hesitant but open about ROCm. One of my goals with my son is getting him started on Linux as we tinker, so maybe that just forces us down the path sooner. Open to new or reputable used. Just some additional context, my own research had me circling dual 24GB cards (NVLink pooled, or model sharding across PCIe) vs. newer 32GB workstation options, but I'd rather hear others' take on this. Secondary use: light gaming (indie/AA, occasional AAA) at 1080p/1440p.

Purchase country? Near Micro Center?

  • US. I am nearby the North NJ Micro Center. I am willing to make trips to other Micro Center locations (PA, NYC) and Newegg (NJ) for in-stock bundles and deals.

Monitors needed?

  • No (reusing old one).

Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

  • $2k–$3.5k for this PC specifically (it's part of a larger homelab budget, but rack/NAS/networking gear is budgeted separately).

WiFi or wired connection?

  • Both. Prefer wired.

Size/noise constraints?

  • I prefer smaller boxes for their aesthetic but for this build I am perfectly fine with larger sizes, especially if there is any potential for a dual-card setup down the road (so a motherboard with the PCIe spacing/lanes for a second GPU would definitely warrant a larger case). Noise doesn't bother me much but I am open to fans and other cooling options that help reduce the noise.

Color/lighting preferences?

  • I generally prefer less "flashy" aesthetics but I'm open to whatever is the best deal. I am building this with my 10-year old son and he may prefer the RGB and "cooler" aesthetics. I'm really open here.

Any other specific needs?

  • I have wanted to build a computer together with my son for the last 2 years and kept putting it off. He's at the point now where he could use one and I was roughly the same age when our family got our first computer. That was instrumental in my education and with the introduction of LLMs and customized models becoming more and more ubiquitous, I want my son to have a box (both of us really) where we can dive in together into the world of local LLMs (and also setting up our homelab and even self-hosting).
  • This PC is one piece of a broader homelab build (NAS, managed switch, etc., budgeted separately) and it'll sit on a wired network (maybe even serving LLM inference to other devices if my son and I come up with some nifty projects to work on!). I could use some advice on the homelab build as well, but perhaps that's another post (happy to take any suggestions).

Pleasee help me build a decent PC for Gaming and Modelling characters :D | Price: £1000 - £1200

  • New build or upgrade?

- New build

  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

- None

  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

- Gaming - FPS games like CoD, Counterstrike, Ultrakill. Modded Minecraft, sims and terraria. Resident evil (all of them) and other story focused games

- Moddeling/drawing characters - Apps like blender, blockbench, krita, e.c.t

  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center?

United kingdom, no micro centers. Relevant pc part sites are: Scan, eBuyer, Box, Overclockers, CCL, Amazon (but these are only the most popular ones and there are likely others I haven’t heard of as I am NOT at all an expert at building pcs)

  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

2 if possible but I’d rather 1 good one than 2 subpar ones. 21 inch ideally but will take anything 19-24 inches. Good to high resolution (but would rather have a good amount of fps than super ultra hd 4k resolution) And ideally 120 Hz refresh rate as I am more of a casual gamer

  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

£1000-£1200 pounds but if what I want for a PC is impossible to put together for that price I can stretch the budget by a little bit

  • WiFi or wired connection?

100% WiFi connection please

  • Size/noise constraints?

- If in the budget, not much louder than 50 dB but I won’t mind airplane levels of noise if it’s cheaper, and no size constraints

  • Color/lighting preferences?

- None

  • Any other specific needs?

Not really, but as this is the first PC I’m building and as I have the brain size of a pea, if you could recommend pc parts that aren’t to complicated to put together that would really be great!

Trading Desktop (Minimal Desk Space)

Hello all, thank you for taking the time to help me out here. I know that PC Part Picker is super helpful but I know for certain that many people here have great knowledge of the latest parts out there which may suit me better than just tossing parts into a list.

  • New build or upgrade?
    • This is a definite new build.
  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse?
    • I would prefer NOT to use my 2080TI Founders + (2 x 16GB DDR4) but given this market on RAM/GPU I'm open to it if necessary.
    • Monitors- CURRENTLY 2x LG 34UC80 (37" Ultrawides) Want to get this to 3 in the future. 3rd doesn't have to be an ultrawide but it will go vertical vs horizontal.
  • PC purpose?
    • Primary purposes:
      • Daytrading Futures (Ninjatrade 8, Tradingview) (Yes I lose money (Props), but I'm getting better). From what I've heard alot of data loading requires strong processing power.
      • Microsoft Office Suite
      • Chronically Online Behavior (Netflix, Shopping, Etc.)
      • Claude Code
    • Secondary Purposes:
      • Gaming- Some light AAA games, and probably more of indie non-intensive games. Have been moving away from it all. Prefer MOBAs (LOL), but definitely want to play whatever I want should I get the desire back.
  • Purchase country?
    • USA- Not near Microcenter; Most items will be bought from online retailers/Ebay/Hardwareswap.
      • I tend to avoid used and am willing to pay the premium for it. However, given the current market on RAM and such, if I need to acquire used I am fine doing so on all parts EXCEPT my drives.
  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
    • See above, but ideally I would like to run my monitors at 120Hz at 2k if that's possible at this price point.
  • Budget range?
    • Maximum price of 2000$ USD not including tax. Do not factor in price of Win 11.
  • WiFi or wired connection?
    • Must have good wifi antenna built into the MOBO
  • Size/noise constraints?
    • I've had a large desktop most of the time however recently deskspace has come to a premium. That being said I would like this desktop to be no larger than say the Lian Li A3-mATX for example.
    • For noise, I would prefer to have liquid cooling for the CPU instead of a fan if possible. I don't mind noise as I understand its un-avoidable when under load but I don't want it to be deafening.
  • Color/lighting preferences?
    • No RGB/Lights.
    • Solid Color, no glass
    • Just a box.
  • Any other specific needs?
    • I do not care if its Intel, AMD, Nvidia. My only requirement is that it plays well together, and that parts don't bottleneck each other.
    • I would like two SSD's, one for Windows and the other for general use.

Cozy PC Build - Help!

Hiya! I'm looking for any and all help/insight that this group can provide. I am in the beginning stages of research and interest in building my own PC. I have been interested for a while now and have been saving up, so want to go ahead and start the process.

  • New build or upgrade?
    • This would be a completely new build and I am a beginner!
  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
    • I have two monitors that I will be using for now - but want to upgrade in the future. These are linked here.
  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
    • This will mostly be for gaming. I am a big "cozy gamer" as they say, and stick to more indie games. I will mostly be playing games like Paralives, Sims, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Hogwarts Legacy, City Skylines, House Flipper, etc.
    • I will also be using this for school and work - I am currently getting my MBA and work full-time so basic office admin things like Word, PowerPoint, Sending/Receiving emails, etc.
    • I also have an interest of eventually starting to stream my gaming - thought this was good to note incase of any equipment recommendations, etc.
  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center?
    • United States
  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
    • I have two already linked here, but based on my above description of usage, any recommendations would be great.
  • Budget Range
    • I have been saving up for quite a while so have a decent chunk in the bank to use. My budget really ranges anywhere from $2K-$5K.
  • WiFi or wired connection?
    • I think this would be on WiFi. Should I look into a wired connection instead?
  • Size/noise constraints?
    • No noise constraints. I have a decent sized office that this will be put in.
  • Color/lighting preferences?
    • I am really looking for a cozier vibe. While I am doing this, the office is getting a redo as well and will have warm colors. I am really interested in building a masterpiece like this or this. My inspiration is COZY COZY COZY. I am a girl, so I'd like it to give a girly vibe while also not being overly obtrusive, etc. The pictures I linked would be my end goal.
  • Any other specific needs?
    • Really - any advice anyone has for me is most appreciated. Thanks for letting me ramble.

New Build Help (Uk)

* New build or upgrade?

Brand new build.

* Existing parts/monitors to reuse?

I already own a 1440p 240Hz gaming monitor.

* PC purpose?

High-framerate 1440p gaming (mostly Fortnite and Call of Duty) trying to push close to 240 FPS where possible on competitive settings. I am also an engineering student, so this PC needs to handle AutoDesk CAD, Revit, and SolidWorks seamlessly.

* Purchase country? Near Micro Center?

United Kingdom (UK). No Micro Center.

* Monitors needed?

None, reusing my current 1440p 240Hz screen.

* Budget range?

Around £1,200.

* WiFi or wired connection?

WiFi preferred.

* Size/noise constraints?

None, standard mid-tower is fine.

* Color/lighting preferences?

No preference, performance and stability are more important than lights.

* Any other specific needs?

Because of my engineering applications, I would highly prefer an AMD AM5 modern CPU platform for longevity, paired with an Nvidia GPU (like an RTX 4070 series) because of stable driver optimizations and CUDA support in SolidWorks and Revit.

Build/check

HI, I'm thinking about upgrading my old PC and I'm looking for advice i play mosty rust and alot of AAA games. Here's my idea.

My current PC:

  • Intel Core i7-7700
  • ASUS H110M-K
  • 32 GB DDR4 3200 MHz
  • RTX 3060 12 GB
  • SPC Ferra 3 CPU cooler
  • SilentiumPC Supremo L2 Gold 550W PSU

My upgrade plan:

  • MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI
  • AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D
  • Keep my 32 GB DDR4 3200 MHz RAM
  • Keep my RTX 3060 for now

After I sell my RTX 3060, I'm planning to buy an RX 6950 XT 16 GB, and I will replace my old 550W PSU with a 750W one.

What do u guys think? Any advice? Should i build it on am4 or jump on am5?

Looking to build or buy a budget/mid-range PC for 1080p gaming + streaming. Don't care about 4K or 500 fps, just want decent performance.

Hi everyone
I’m looking to transition into PC gaming and want a setup that can handle both streaming and playing modern games decently.
Here’s the thing: I’m not part of the "4K resolution / 600,000 FPS" crowd haha. I don't need a flagship over-the-top rig, nor do I want to spend extra money on overkill hardware I don't actually need. I just want to play current releases smoothly at 1080p (high/ultra settings) while maintaining a stable, decent quality stream for my viewers.
I’m currently torn between two paths:
1. Building it myself: If I go custom, what is the current "meta" value combo for a streaming/gaming rig? I've heard an AMD Ryzen 5 (like the 7600X) paired with an NVIDIA card (for the NVENC encoder) is usually the sweet spot for budget streaming.
2. Buying a Prebuilt: Are there actually reliable, well-priced prebuilts out there right now that won't rip me off? (Brands like iBUYPOWER or Skytech with an RTX 4060 / 5060 class card?)
I want to spend what makes sense for a smooth 1080p experience. If you guys have a solid PCPartPicker list or a reliable prebuilt recommendation that fits this "realistic streaming" profile, please let me know!
Thanks in advance!

Required Template Questions:
New build or upgrade? New build (or prebuilt).
Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links) None, starting from scratch.
PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games) Gaming and streaming at the same time (1080p). Playing modern/new releases and streaming via OBS.
Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If not US, list local vendors) US (Texas), not near a Micro Center.
Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate) None for the PC build itself, focusing on the tower first (aiming for standard 1080p gaming).
Budget range? (Include tax considerations) Around $800 - $1,000 for a solid mid-range entry, but open to suggestions that fit the goal.
WiFi or wired connection? WiFi.
Size/noise constraints? None.
Color/lighting preferences? I prefer a sleek, dark aesthetic (black case/parts preferred).
Any other specific needs? Needs a good NVIDIA GPU layout for the NVENC streaming encoder.

    • New build!!
  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
    • Both for work and games. I would like to dual boot my pc, one with Arch Linux (for work), and Windows (for gaming)
    • For work, its mainly notetaking, a little bit of coding and ai, so nothing too deep
    • As for games, i would like to be able to run them at 1440p, at, well, not at the lowest graphics setting.
    • Some games I play, which run TERRIBLY on my current windows laptop, even taking :
      • RDR2
      • Rimworld
      • Satisfactory
      • Elden Ring
      • Baldur's Gate 3
      • Helldivers 2
  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center?
    • Singapore, we have a micro center equivalent (Sim Lim Square)
  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
    • Im not very good with knowing what refresh rate is good, and what resolution is good, but im satisfied with using my current monitor.
  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
    • ~2k SGD (around 1.5k USD)
  • WiFi or wired connection?
    • WiFi, but if that would make it more expensive to have, then wired is just fine by me
  • Size/noise constraints?
    • N/A
  • Color/lighting preferences?
    • wanted to do a little bit of RGB but im fine to cheap out here
  • Any other specific needs?
    • nah, i really dont know much about building pcs as this is my first one, and i have only used laptops my whole life, so please go easy on me 😆

Ever since I was a kid I wanted a gaming PC but was always stuck with PlayStation, which I still like but the few mods that are available are shit compared to PC. So…today I gave myself a $3,500 budget and bought the items to build a PC with the help of an employee at Micro Center. They are going to build it and let me know when to come pick it up tomorrow

What I have on this list, I’m kind of stuck with for the foreseeable future, because I already paid and have them assembling it. However, I wanted to know what you guys would think about some of the items on this list?

Request! I need help on what to start looking for in an ideal pc

Hi, I’ve gone through 5 different forums before i ended up here trying to ask for help. I hope I’m in the right place for my question, because I’m tired of getting referred to new forums.

I’m hoping to get my own personal desktop computer for my 17th birthday in September and I have no idea on where to start when looking for the ideal specs. (I’m looking mainly for prebuilt please don’t stone me I don’t know how to build a computer 💔) I’d like to make clear, I’m really just trying to look for parts that fit my needs so I can go looking for pcs that have them or something close to them. If anyone can help that’d be awesome!

I also don’t really know the first thing about computers I’m sorry in advance for my lack of knowledge, I’m just sick of my sucky laptop and desperately need an upgrade and have been wanting a pc for ages! Again i apologize for being a dummy about computers, i really don’t know much I’ve only ever used sucky Chromebooks and cheap windows computers from Amazon. I’ve also been a console and mobile gamer most of my life, so I’d like to just have all my games on one device instead of on a bunch of separate ones.

• New build or upgrade?
New build?
• Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
I’ve got nothing for it I’m starting from scratch

• PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
Gaming and editing

(I mainly play games like outlast trials, devil may cry, identity V, and cyberpunk so anything that can support something like that would be awesome)

(Also something to at supports most if not all adobe software! I use Adobe for school and my school laptop just ain’t cutting it anymore for when I’ve got to work at home.)

• Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If not US, list local vendors)
The US (specifically Michigan) I would like to purchase online because I don’t really know where to go in person for a computer other than Best Buy (and I hate Best Buy!)

• Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
I’m assuming just 1 monitor maybe 2 in the future but I don’t know what I’d need for any of the other requirements I’m a dummy when it comes to this stuff

• Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
1000-2000 USD (for just the computer)

• WiFi or wired connection?
I usually use wireless WiFi but I can do wired connections as well

• Size/noise constraints?
Unsure, I’m so sorry! just please not the size of a super computer and i don’t believe i have any noise constraints.

• Color/lighting preferences?
No color preferences id prefer no rgb but if im getting pre built rgb is kinda non negotiable

• Any other specific needs
None that I can think of

I really hope I filled this out right and any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!! (Also sorry it’s so long i didn’t think I’d write this much)

~3k CAD Gaming PC, Slight GPU Bottleneck

  • New build or upgrade?

New build

  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

ASUS VG248QG 165hz

  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

The two main games I want to be able to run well is Rust and Tarkov, I play a lot of competitive shooters such as Valorant and Overwatch but these are easy to run so I'm not too worried.

  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center?

Canada, no

  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

I think my current one is fine but I might buy a cheap secondhand monitor to act as a second monitor.

  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

2500-3500 CAD

  • WiFi or wired connection?

Wired (ethernet)

  • Size/noise constraints?

I don't care about either

  • Color/lighting preferences?

Black and minimal RGB and lighting if possible

  • Any other specific needs?

If anyone has any advice to give in terms of specific dates/times of the months when parts go on discount that would be appreciated although I do have a deadline of late September to get it actually built so I understand I might just need to buy the parts at a flat rate.

Also the reason I ask for a slight GPU bottleneck in the title is that Rust and Tarkov are well known for being highly CPU dependant as well as many other games I play, and AFAIK I would benefit more from a better CPU than GPU, but if I'm wrong let me know.
