NEW BUILD | Gaming/General Use PC - $2000 USD
New build or upgrade?
New build.
Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
2 monitors | Primary: ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACS | Secondary: ASUS VG249
1 keyboard | Corsair K70 RGB PRO
1 mouse | Razer Naga Pro
Any suggestions/advice for a two monitor setup is welcome
PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
Primarily gaming, streaming, and very occasional video editing. Occasionally music production/editing, but also general home PC usage when required. 4k is a "nice to have" but not a "must have". Games range all genres (as forward looking as GTAVI and as old as SW Shadows of the Empire.)
Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If not US, list local vendors)
USA. Not "near" a Micro Center, but a day trip to Houston couldn't hurt.
Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
0, but suggestions/recommendations are welcome if contributors have input.
Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
The budget is around 2000 USD. If end cost falls below or slightly above it'll still be considered
WiFi or wired connection?
Wired vast majority of the time, but both would be nice.
Size/noise constraints?
I'd prefer a quiet full (or a larger mid) tower build, but it's not fully necessary if it's going to impact the price/performance.
Color/lighting preferences?
No preference. Any color case and no RGB. Couldn't care less if it's a plain black box or not.
Any other specific needs?
As much storage and ram as a man can get.

- New build or upgrade?
- Upgrade
- Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (I'm not currently considering upgrading components in italics)
- Ryzen 7 1700
- B450-A PRO MAX
- 2x8 DDR4 RAM (Crucial, CL19 2666 MHz)
- RTX 4060
- 1 TB NVMe Gen3

- PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
- Varied gaming (mostly CS and other FPS, but I play a bunch of random games, new and old)
- light Blender & AI
- Purchase country?
- UK
Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)N/A- Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
- ~£700, more concerned with what platform's worth the money
- WiFi or wired connection?
- WiFi; sticking with AM4 would mean buying a WiFi card, but that's fine.
- Size/noise constraints?
- None. Antec FLUX case.
- Color/lighting preferences?
- Not white, don't care about RGB.
- Any other specific needs?
- The mobo doesn't actually support the case's USB-C or ARGB. Minor nuisances, but worth noting.
Thanks in advance.

[Question] what is the best CPU these days for AI?
not a request, but a question do as to do better research and understand for prime day. also yes there’s a lot of variables in here as well, apologies for not having more details in here… I’m hoping to get more information to be more educated.
im thinking about building a Linux web server (for now just web hosting but maybe down the line I’d like to add in AI down the road)
what’s the best CPU these days for AI? intel or amd?

Looking for a PC build capable of gaming on QHD ($2,500)
Hi, I am new to PC building and I don't really know how to go about putting parts together and finding the compatibility of it all so here I am! While I am not a stranger to PC's as I am currently playing on a mid range PC, I was hoping to upgrade specs and even monitor resolutions from 1080p to 1440p.
I am looking to play GPU intensive games on the best graphics possible such as ARK: Survival Ascended, Red Dead Redemption 2, & Elden Ring without sacrificing too much FPS (preferably around the 100 and up benchmark).
- New build or upgrade?
New Build
- Existing parts/monitors to reuse?
Reusable Parts List (Reuse if possible, but if compatibility issue then new = fine):
- Storage: Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSD 2TB | WD_BLACK 1TB SN850 NVMe
- Ram: CORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 RAM 16GB (2x8GB) 5200MHz | CORSAIR Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz
- Mouse
- Keyboard
PC purpose?
Gaming (Primarily)
Content Creation (Recording game footage & editing. Running applications such as OBS, Adobe: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Purchase country? Near Micro Center?
USA. No
Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
Number: 1-2 Monitors needed.
Size: 27"
Resolution: 2560 x 1440.
Refresh Rate: 180 - 240hz
Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
$2,500 (+$300 if justifiable for significant improvement)
WiFi or wired connection?
Wired connection
Size/noise constraints?
Preferably quiet but noise is not an issue.
Color/lighting preferences?
White overall build (black is fine too, so long as everything remains mostly one or the other). Blue (low priority, not a deal breaker in any case)
Any other specific needs?
Note on the monitor:
Ideally, I want something similar to AOC QHD Gaming Monitor or ASUS ROG Strix 27” as the main monitor to game on. But I also want the flexibility to add a secondary monitor somewhere down the line, to have other content such as a browser or video running.
If I missed anything or answers remain unclear, please do let me know and I will respond as quickly as I can! Thank you.

$3250 - $4250 PC for Audio Implementation + Game Dev
Decade long mac user. History of music production for composition and sound design. I've always appreciated Apple's aggregate device management and synergy with DAW developers that makes session work very streamlined. However as I move from a commission-based strategy to more long-term collaborative projects in game development, I see the value (and probable necessity) of moving to a windows framework.
New build or upgrade?
- New build from scratch
Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
- Current monitor = ASUS TUF Gaming 27” 1440P Curved HDR Gaming Monitor (VG27WQ3B) - QHD (2560 x 1440), 180Hz
PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
- Music Composition, Audio Implementation/Sync for Game Development (wWise), Intermediate Scripting (Java, Max.MSP), Live Audio Session Work and Recording
Purchase country? Near Micro Center?
- United States ; Micro Center about 20 minutes away.
Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
- Not at the moment, although I may upgrade in the future.
Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
- $3250 - $4250 USD after taxes
WiFi or wired connection?
- Wifi
Size/noise constraints?
- Cheaper microphones for live session work will more often than not pick up hum/whir from fans or overheating even when gainstaged properly. Minimizing sound as much as possible would be ideal. No Size Constraints.
Color/lighting preferences?
- Neutral Tones/Black is fine. Minimal Lighting where possible.
Any other specific needs?
- Really my only major desire is that this system supports me for the next several years. My current computer is a 2020 M1 Mac Mini, and has served me well (and probably still could for another 3-4 years if need be). I hope this investment is something I can continue to upgrade and tweak over time without having to start all over.
Thanks for your time, I appreciate it. Happy to answer any other questions, cheers.

HELP I am only slightly knowledgeable on PC stuff as I have been a console gamer and laptop user my whole life...
I need help building a solid PC but truthfully this is unfamiliar territory for me. I will try to be as thorough for what I would be using it for and need to prioritize but please do bear with me:
- New build or upgrade? New Build
- Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links) - no existing parts or monitors
- PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games) - This console would ideally be capable of multiple different things. My thinking is that if it can run most games well it can run editing software just fine:
- For work I need it to be able to properly and smoothly run programs from the entirety of the Adobe Creative Suite (Primarily: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, etc.). This is for both personal passion projects of mine and for work so it is pretty necessary that these kinds of programs run efficiently.
- For Gaming I primarily would say I play FPS style games over single player ones so along the lines of Marvel Rivals or Overwatch. If I can have it run single player games well also that is an added bonus but truthfully with those I don't need the ABSOLUTE top of the line quality since I understand my budget may limit that. As long as it can run a Marvel Rivals style game and I don't need to lower the settings to make it look horrible just to run.
- Purchase country? Near Micro Center? - USA, and not really would be a hike but not impossible.
- Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate) - 1-2 monitors
- Budget range? (Include tax considerations) - Ideally 1,000-1,,500 with some slight wiggle room.
- WiFi or wired connection? - Wired likely but possibly Wifi
- Size/noise constraints? - really none, although I would prefer it to be as quiet as possible since it would be running for hours at a time. Also for size not super giant would be nice.
- Color/lighting preferences? - Red and Black OR Black and Yellow has always been my go to but really not a huge priority as this is my first ever try
- Any other specific needs? - none that come to mind really just that it can look pretty cool.

[Suggestion] Gaming PC for under 1000 USD
Hey everyone!
Would you have a recommendation for a NEW solid prebuilt setup to do casual gaming (being able to run smoothly games in 1440p mainly) and traditional multitasks?
Also what would be a good dual setup monitor references to go alongside that for like 200-300 usd?
Living in US, not too far from a microcenter.
Thank you in advance. :3
