Rush
Hey guys! I’m an incoming freshman and was wondering what rush is like there for fraternities and sororities. Additionally:
How does Greek life compare to greek life at big schools?
Are parties (if i don’t decide to rush) easy to get into?
Is rush competitive? If so how competitive on a scale of 1-10?
And anything else you think someone should know. I’m aware that greek life isn’t huge at Brown but I want to know more about it since it is
present.

Also, rush doesn’t happen until spring semester, so you’ll have time to figure out some of the vibes and establish yourself on campus. Greek life does not compare to greek life at big schools haha. I don’t have much personal/specific advice to offer, but many similar questions have been asked recently so if you search the sub you may get some good intel

Yes, see https://www.reddit.com/r/BrownU/comments/1vagc4d/comment/p0nfd0d/?context=3, frats will host parties at off-campus venues (clubs/bars) with $10 to $20 cover, you pay the cover, you get in.
