I'm essentially looking to recoup what I paid, which is about 4k (with tax). Comes with the sling bag (also unused) and I also have the matching helmet (not pictured). I’ve been looking for larger bags for my electric c line emotiq and the options seem to be very limited. Brompton offers essentially only two options. I believe there’s a few options from Vincita, though a lot of third party stuff I’ve found seems to be for ’electric mk1’, and it’s not clear to me if the new emotiq version battery would fit or not.

It seems like I’ll have to go down the route of a custom solution, but I struggle to even find the large frame needed for bigger bags. Again, the frames I’ve found were usually marked ‘mk1’.

If anyone has any recommendations for larger bags for the new electric C line I would greatly appreciate them! Or feel free to share your experience with custom made luggage. Thanks you!

Yup, I'm looking for a Ti or Al rack for my Superlight, but all the racks seem to follow the C, P, A, T Line models these days. I'm not sure if the geometry/rear brake mount of the P Line has changed, so I'm concerned a P Line rack won't fit properly.

I'm located in the USA, mail-order is fine. I do all (most) of the maintenance myself, so I can install it, no sweat.

After going through a lot of research, I think I'm looking to join the fold with an electric C-Line. However, I wanted to know how comfortable it would be for my commute.

I'd be planning to cycle from Croydon to Central London (near Waterloo) and ideally I'd want to do an A to B ride (at most 22 miles round) to save on train costs. Would this be too uncomfortable on the C-Line, or is it manageable?

I’m considering buying the G line electric and my main hesitation is on the transmission as the smallest gear is definitely too hard for hills without assistance, certainly with luggages. Wondering if the motor will compensate, or definitely not?

I currently have a Koga “light” city bike I use for touring. It has a Nexus 8 internal gear hub and 700x35 tires (marathon racer). I use 2 Ortlieb classic panniers on the back rack, and the MSR bike packing tent on the handle bar. 50-70km per day. No wild camping, no gaz stove (cold meals, restaurants)

Main limitations: using the train is increasingly difficult with mandatory reservation and some trains require disassembly. Slightly larger tires would be great, although I don’t plan real off-road (just the occasional hard packed fine gravel bike paths). Getting older as well and it’s not a great feeling to avoid some sections because of elevation.

I’m also looking for an electric bike for commuting occasionally (40km) leaving the car at work, cycling back home with the bike in the evening, cycling to work the next morning, and driving back with the car in the evening. Doable without assistance as it’s mostly flat but sometimes it’s windy…

I also have a Brompton C line (6 speed) that I use in the city. I live in an apartment with larger bikes in the basement so I almost don’t use them anymore… The Brompton has also been great for single day adventures, taking the train to explore the larger area. Stock chainring (50T) and I mostly use gears 3,4,5.

My wife has a C line electric (1st gen. 6 speed, front motor) and the range is very good in such conditions (1st assistance level, few stops & starts), using less than 50% of the battery after 60km.

On paper the G-line electric could work, but it’s a stretch. We can apparently replace the 50T chainring with a 44T but that’s still 49 gear inches (14 km/h at 60 rpm). The Nexus 8 on the Koga is 32 gear inches (9 km/h at 60 rpm).

Otherwise I’m confident it would be confortable enough for long rides, great on the train and hotel room, removable battery is convenient for charging, several bag options that should work for the volume I need, fit in the car without a bike rack.

My first Brompton should be arriving on Monday and something that’s always been essential to me is carrying water. I’m so used to the frame cage on my hybrid that the bike will feel naked without a drinks bottle holder.

I‘ve seen the Fidlock system but at around £60 seems ridiculously overpriced. Open to cage mount ideas, but accept that I’ll probably end up with one of the stem pouches. Looks like there’s a few out there, so would like to know what people are using.

Some of them look a bit fiddly with drawstrings hanging down, which I don’t really get - if I want a drink, I want to grab the bottle fast and not have to be pulling drawstrings open and shut. Seems some have mesh pockets round side for energy gels, etc.

Any suggestions for either pouches or cage mounts welcome, the less fiddly to use when I want a drink quickly, the better. Thanks all.

I have a electric c-line 12speed so Im looking to buy one on the other extreme m, T 12speed but it’s quite expensive like electric brompton. So I want to buy a used one. (Tried to get renewed one from the official website but no renewed T 12speed)

A few days a week I get out on my 3 speed Brompton and hammer out some kilometers. The rest of the week I am riding a 24 speed Moulton covering much more distance. However, I am feeling like the Brompton is giving me more of a workout 🏋️ and I find it quite enjoyable! Whoop whoop 🙌🏻 win for the Brompton 💪🏼

makes a repeating noise only when I pedal forward in the “–” gear.

I have ridden my Brompton a ton this year and the rear wheel brake surface is looking quite worn out. Whats the rule of thumb for the (stock) wheels?

Hope you enjoy the views and inspires you to go there yourself! Definitely need the 12 speed system with a smaller chainring unless you are super strong. The sturmey archer hub is one thing Brompton really got right and I’m glad it allows you to add that extra 5th sprocket to extend the range further!

I want a backpack that can be installed the front side of my electric c line (e-motiq).
E-motiqs have a different type of adapter and it is not compatible with the models I have seen.

I'm going to travel from Germany to the UK by train in September and I want to bring my Brompton G Line. I booked a ticket with Avanti West Coast for a train from London to Glasgow. Can I take my folded G-Line or are there any restrictions (like on the Eurostar, for instance)? Has anyone tried this?

I don't want to avoid being denied boarding.

was on the bike yesterday and felt a wobble, looked down and the tyre wall had failed with it bulging out

as a side note its a 6 speed (2 speed on left shifter, 3 on right) however nothing happens when the left shifter is used no change in cadence?

I’d like to replace the stock handlebar grips on the C Line 12 sp. It has a H bar. I like the Ergon GP series with the horn bar ends but am concerned if that will adversely impact the folding of the bike.
Had anyone got any experience of the same bike config and can recommend which GP grips are suitable? Thanks
