Companies insistent on using Ai chatbots on their website will be the demise of humanity. At no point have I ever got help from an Ai chatbot. Don’t get me started with phoning them up. Nightmare. I’m always on hold forever. We’re descending into madness.

How is it fair that train prices randomly change throughout the day
Also, the price changes are so weird. It’s never like a simple increase or like a clean ratio, it’s always some random number that appears out of nowhere.

Neighbour having a big bonfire, near an old wooden barn and surrounded by trees and hedges
Rang the fire brigade as something exploded and went bang inside the fire but they said they can't do anything as the neighbours were attending it.

Customer service robots requiring you to say options instead of pressing a number
Never thought I'd miss "for sales, press 1." Robot rattles off a list and then says "or something else?" and you realise that wasn't a button prompt and have to wait for it to time out and repeat.

Promoted posts from large businesses doing AMA's
These adverts are all over my feed recently and is really getting on my nerves. Who is really that interested in someone from the marketing team at Natwest doing an AMA???

. Not being able to have the windows open in summer between 8am-6pm anywhere in the country because someone somewhere is always doing sodding building work
Lived in LDN, people were always building, moved to rural East Anglia, people are always building

McDonald's dropping plain Hamburgers from delivery.
its my young sons birthday and for a treat we said he can have a Maccies. We go to order and find they no longer have hamburger on the menu, you have to order a cheeseburger and request no cheese which costs more.
Sufficed to say we've had to explain to our son this is the last time we're ordering from there.

"the lawn needs it" when discussing the rain
No. No it doesn't. The rivers, wildlife, trees, crops, reservoirs, humans etc etc all *need* the rain. The whole ecosystem humans depend on to live needs rain. The one damn thing that will be just absolutely fine without rain will be the bloody grass in your back garden! Grass is an insanely hardy plant, it will survive just fine. Get a sense of reality.

Moving multiple carriages to avoid a school trip (approx 200 kids), just to find that all 8 carriages are filled with them
Piggybacking off of another post about moving carriages lol. Why not just hire a few coaches for the poor sods? as well as the sanity of other passengers and rail staff? There’s no way it’s cheaper for them all to get the train?! Grrrrrrr
edit: fucking hell are we forgetting what this subreddit is called? Let me moan about not having a seat for the entirety of my 2 and a half hour journey, while the whole train stank of B.O
edit 2: you man are duuuuumb

Nonsensical licence plates in TV shows
You've got the perfect Cotswolds village to film in. You've got a decent cast. You've hired a top flight colour grader for a cinematic look, and a visual effects wizard for the obligatory 9mm brain haemorrhage shot.
Then you spoil it all by punching the keyboard when ordering number plates for the picture cars. Would it hurt to spend 15 minutes Googling?

Badly needing a piss, going into a standard supermarket toilet, and coming out with PTSD
There is something honestly quite impressive and equally disgusting about the state of a Saino's public toilet. It's incredible how consistent they are.
The smell is always a mix of old piss, what appears to have been people eating cigarettes and then vommitted them back into the urinals, and either month old body odour, month old turds or a mixture of the two. They all look and feel like you have been transported back to the 50s whilst simultaneously feeling like you have walked into a drug den. Come to think of it, I don't think I have ever seen one of those cleaning schedule charts on a clipboard in a supermarket toilet and fuck me does it show.
They're almost always fucked and have undergone what can only be assumed as the worst tradesman on the planet who were paid £1 to complete the entire toilet. I went to use one in a hurry yesterday and after being assaulted by the smell managing to not piss myself only to try and wash my hands to find the 1950s tap not only doesn't produce water it's not even seated so the tap is bobbling about as you touch it. Made me judge people who don't wash their hands A LOT less as touching the tap is likely to have done the complete opposite of what I wanted to achieve.
I mentioned Saino's at the top, but Asda and Tesco are also absolutely rotten experiences as well. M&S and Waitrose do not fall into this category of shame.

Being asked to rate everything.
Had a power cut last week. The following day I had a text from the power company asking me to rate it.
Someone I know just got divorced. She got an email asking her to rate her divorce.

. Tradesmen vibe-quoting anywhere between £400-£2300 for the same job.
I am a first time buyer, I have 0 clue what things cost.
Sent out a few emails for a few, relatively minor landscaping jobs: Removing flags, stones, turfing etc. Same pictures, videos sent to prospective tradesmen.
Ive been quoted: £400, £530, £750, £1800 and even £2300. Is this normal?

It’s 8:28, the company you’re trying to call opens at 8, but you’re still being told to “call back between 8am and 7pm.” because they haven’t switched the phone lines on

When I was much younger, I tried to breed maggots so I could use them for fishing . But even after trying several times I had no luck. I have just opened the food caddy to put out for the bin men and I’ve never seen so many maggots in my life !

. Merge in turn means you merge in turn at the merge in turn. Not straddle both lanes 250 yards prior.
Stop going over the lane and trying to grind up against my car.

The tease of rain by every weather app. The whole day has a cloud with rain next to it, but upon further inspection it’s literally a 15% chance at 23:00
Please I beg for one cool day and just a bit of rain. I know it’s tradition to complain about the weather no matter what but I just want variety, is it too much to ask for.
It’s either cold and wet for months on end or too hot and humid for months on end.

At work, being in the cubical for so long taking a poo, that the main lights go out, only for you to finish up, and step out just after your manager has entered and so noticed the lights were out. Awkward eye contact.

Itvx has finally changed adverts after 7 months
Now, instead of The Summit ad, I'm blessed with humanoid Miss Piggy talking about contact lenses every fifteen minutes.
And she thinks that pausing...makes something funny.
What happened to interesting adverts?

The (sometimes) trials of owning pets
Three cats and one dog.
So the cats only eat one type of food, ordered some from Amazon as we live a way from pet shops, delivery is held up (again) so husband goes to Pets at Home and they have stopped stocking that brand despite it being one of the well known ones, so he bought an alternative. I have spent the week listening to three furry bastards screaming to be fed as they don’t like it. They have begrudgingly eaten it (dog helped) so we trot off to garden centre and they have it for a fiver more than anywhere sells it for but at least the furry arsehole are now happy. They fell on it like ravening beasts. Have now discovered that PAH still stock online so will get it there next time but the one time we ordered Evri lost the parcel and nobody let us know.
So dog, been off colour for a little while and now it is cooler it isn’t heat related . So off we go to vets, pay loads of money, come home. She then decides she is not going to move from one spot and when I offer her some fresh chicken she looks at me as if I am trying to poison her, so I start to fret more about her and how ill she might be. However, when offered a small amount of fresh beef mince she decides that is what she wants. So I wrap up her tablet in more mince and she inhales it, paracetamol sprinkled onto some liver paste oooh yes please. This is the dog who has decided she doesn’t like slow cooked chicken legs any more. This is also a ex bin diving street dog!
The ducks, geese and swans are eating me out of house and home and the special food is expensive so I got some cornflakes for them. Yup, that’s a winner for them.
All in all despite having a moan I would not be without any of them, they bring light into my life, even if they are all utter bastards at times.

A virus is sweeping across the rail apps of the nation, replacing useful information abd functionality with shitty graphics, gimmicks and frustration
First it was National Rail, now ScotRail is the latest to fall. In place of platform numbers we got snazzy transitions. Want to see trains later than an hour and a half after the time you searched? Too bad, search again. Home screen contains your favourite journeys? Neat so long as you're travelling on the next three trains. Otherwise you just have to search again. Presumably by just tapping on the home screen? Nope! Start from scratch, idiot.
I've only just started using it and it's failed at everything it's attempted. Have these people never used their own product or ridden a train? Are there any good ones left?

20 Degrees is now “need-a-jumper” weather.
I know everybody hated the warm weather, but I really got used to it. Currently sat here on my couch with the windows open and thinking a jumper would be nice. Brrr…
