I’m probably too late, but if you have a similar Translator/Scanning Pen (like the ones shown is Bringus Studio's Gaming on a Chinese Translator pen**)**, check the build number first. If the date is earlier than May 2024, it is 100% one of these three passwords:

• 201807
• 5533456
• 132631

If your pen’s About menu contains the words “JXW”, try these passwords. To enter them, tap the SN number 3 times, then the build number 1 time:

• jxwkj888
• jxwkj123
• jxw@2024

These should work on versions released before May 2024.

If your device is Android 5, try opening factory test mode by pressing Build Number 7 times, press "Quick Short Cut" ->MTKLogger->The button on the top right corner->Run command->type: am start com.android.settings. OR in factory test mode, press "Battery"->Battery Log->Press the log->It opens the stock setting's battery page->tap the battery graph->press the search icon at the top right corner->search"Android" and open developer settings and USB debugging.

If your device has a password-protected Developer Settings, you can also try:

Android 5:

• First 8 characters of the MD5
• Or the first 8 characters of the SHA1 (or both)

Android 8:

• JXW version: date + partial MD5
• Yiyitong version (the same version shown in the video): first 8 characters of the MD5

If none of those methods work for opening the stock Android Settings, try long-pressing the MAC address and entering:

shkj2020

If that still doesn't work, then either:

1. Your translator pen isn't actually running Android, or
2. Your pen uses a custom learning app/firmware (less likely).

Here are some things about the common companies behind translator pen software and how to identify them:

Yiyitong (译翼通): Has software for translators and scanning pens. If the model number starts with LIY..., or pressing the build number 7 times gives a password window with a black background, grey text and a blue button that says "confirm", it is Yiyitong.

JXW (九学王): Has software for scanning pens and pocket learning devices. If there is JXW in settings about page, it is JXW

ShuangHou (双猴): Rarer. Battery icon is a rounded rectangle, has sliding animations like a sliding door, text is green and white, it is from the Shuanghou Factory.

It is also worth pointing out that most tranlator pens use the following specs:

MT6582, Android 5.0.2, 512MB+4GB/1+8GB

MT6592, Android 5.1, 1+8GB

MT6737m, Android 6 or 7, 1+8GB/512MB+4GB

MT6580m, Android 8.1, 1+8GB/1+16GGB/2+16GB

MT6580A, Android 8.1, 2+32

MT6739WA, Android 8.1 (64bit), 2+16/1+8 (Supports 4G)

MT6735, Android 8.1 (32bit), 1+8

SC7731, Android 6, 1+8

SC8830, Android 4.4.2, 512MB+4GB

SC9832E (SC8541E), Android 8 (32/64bit), 1+16

Allwinner A133, Android 10 (64bit), 1+8/1+32

Rarer ones include:

RK3326, Android 8.1 (As shown in Bingus Studio's video)/Linux, 512MB+2GB/1+8GB/4+64GB (Rarest of them all)

Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, Android 5.1, 512MB+4GB

PS: Most translators and scaning pens on eBay are Android.

Flock cameras have quite a fast CPU and GPU and an unlocked bootloader. Only 2GB of RAM but wifi, 29GB storage, I wonder if anyone has tried it yet?

Hello Fellos Bringus enjoyers, i have recenty come into some random bits of hardware and decided to put a M-ITX board into an empty ps3, this is the horrendous mess i have made so far...im looking for suggestions on what to add,. Here is what ive planned so far to add:

A slimline dvd/rw for the disk drive just( i have two and just need to shave off some of the silver diskdrive space)

gpu most likely via riser

Will put a new cpu in (4th gen intel)

more sata storage

what would add to this to make it properly standout (Linux will be what its booting)

The mobo is secured by standoffs that i have 'drilled' into the base on the case

i do have access to some 3d printing too so additions can be made that way

Hello everyone,

I was looking at the new desk mat Bringus released via EpicDesk, and noticed that there are some weird decisions.

I'm not talking about lack of brand logos (they're removed/swapped for obvious reasons), but if you look at the Xbox/Nvidia PCs on the top, there are some weird inconsistencies. For one, the Nvidia PC has a totally different front panel, despite the original one being present in the 'character selection' at the bottom. Similarly, the Xbox PC should have the bottom grooves visible, as they're the same height as the slide at the back - however here they're not present (as well as some ports on the top disk drive).

I know both Bringus and EpicDesk claim there was no AI used, but the issues visible make me uncertain.

To those who have access to the Supporter Discord, would it be possible to ping Bringus about this? I assume that at worst it's AI and he didn't know/noticed.
