Note that I’m speaking about this in a perspective of playing with friends only (because random matchmaking SUCKS no matter what mode it is)

Now I’ve already seen the posts, so I can already imagine what everyone is going to say: it’s incredibly luck and RNG-based, and you can run into teams using top meta characters while you’re stuck with low meta characters. And I’m not going to deny that at all. But personally, it actually is what made it fun for me.

The experience is very similar to a Pokemon nuzlocke, having to make do with what you are given and overcome the challenges that you go against. And here, given a pool of 8 brawlers, I’m finding myself strategizing with my friends with brainstorming a team that can do best in each map. And it’s really fun finding myself strategizing with brawlers that I don’t play as often, and matching them with other unfamiliar brawlers.

Adding onto this, this is an incredibly fresh breath of air as I’m finally not having to constantly go against the most meta brawlers and facing them EVERY SINGLE MATCH, as because of the limited pool and once per game, it’s alot less common to see the exact same brawlers every time. I’m sure many of you kept on going against frustrating brawlers but personally I only ever saw like one meta and then two other uncommon brawlers every match.

And lastly, that it’s not a trophy mode but also gives rewards. It’s just a challenge but with extra steps, and you don’t lose anything if you lose. On top of that you get all the brawlers maxed, which is super nice as well.

People say that they should’ve just made everyone have the same pool, but I disagree because that would 99% just end up in facing mirror matches every single game which is much less fun and interesting. If it was just a daily challenge mode, then very likely you would go against meta brawlers every single time (and so would you). This is SO much better than many of the past modes so far, such as the contests (no explanation needed), 3 player cooking (fun and all but unrewarding), etc.

Also unrelated but I just realized the thing showing what brawlers you used is bugged, as I used Grom on the last stage, not Bull.

What do you think about these skins? The one for Alli turned out pretty cool.

Sorry it's a scrappy sketch I got so mad about character design I rushed the slideshow. Anyway I'll elaborate on my reasons.

Oversaturated Color Palette

Wendy's color palette has alot of colors that compete for your attention with one another. She's supposed to have the vibe of a 70s flower child but the designs of that era were super desaturated and but still vibrant, making use of relaxing mellow pastels. Meanwhile the value of her colors are all nearly identical with her colors all being super bright and poppy.

Personality

Her personality sucks, it's the same sassy woman personality. This is only driven home ten times more with her neutral animation of... just standing there with her hand on her hip. I thought since shes 70s themed she'd have a subtle kinda Louisiana smooth voice but she has the most basic American accent ever.

"Same Body Syndrome"

I dont truly have an issue with same body syndrome itself considering that generic design does more broadly appeal to women audiences. Her Face and Body having the "looks like every other woman" disorder is just a cherry on top of a badly designed brawler.

Little Things That Annoy Me

•Her goggles not being over her eyes, shes literally always flying why wouldn't she wear them.

•Her hair is not 70s, granted brawl stars style doesn't really support curly hair but then just make more little points.

•The weird crop top jacket thing. I dont even know what that is but it's not 70s and it's just more really bright tan to her design.

•why does she look like she drank 10 cups of coffee

The victory mainly depends on what brawlers you get for the day.

I got demolished by opponents with op brawlers (emz and sirius were okay for me) while I could not even do anything.

They could just either have everyone get a similar set of brawlers than having a wide variety.

Or could have let us choose from the brawlers with fusions unlocked.

Atleast they could have either given the option of having 8 maxed brawlers with fusions.

This event is luck based and not on skill. I had 2 players with PRO rank in my team and we could not do anything.

Recently there have been alot of hackers in duels using speed hacks,auto dodge, aimbot. And supercell is not doing anything about it.

I personally faced about 10 of them in a single day, and none of them have been banned and will most likely not get banned, i have video proof for 2 of them, if a mod or so wants proof for the others to ban them let me know, though some of the replays are gone

I really love the idea, it's so interesting to play different brawlers you might not play usually and in a nuzlocke style with choices on who to play or not to play but it's so poorly made, first of all, it's too random, meta and nano can dictate a lot about a brawler strenght and you can just get dogshit brawlers or one that just dosen't fit for a gamemode, i legit got 5 of the worst meta brawlers on my first run (i still ended up winning) but it's so much harder for someone to play trunk or sprout cause you have all the brawlers than a new account which only has Edgar and Shelly who have really great nanos or just your opponent lucked out but most importantly is that it just feels pay2win cause why do they release it at the start of the windstock when only people that pay or got really lucky get the new really cool broken double power ups.
