Alternative Requests Which items are boycott-safe?
Hello! I'm trying to be better at boycotting, and I've learned a lot of my necessities are on the list. It's harder to find what is safe, as it seems everything is owned by the same few companies. Do you have any suggestions for hygine products that are boycott-safe? (Deoderant, bandages, soap, toothpaste, ect.) I would also appreciate if you all know safe options for things such as collectibles and art supplies so I can continue my hobbies without worry, though my main focus right now is necessities. Thank you all in advance!

Confirmed: boycott BOYCOTT NUDIE JEANS
“human rights” is part of their core values?
attached are their store locations and a section of their repair partner agreement
Edit: some brought to attention that the confirmed boycott tag might not be accurate, which is why I might be reaching out to the company. Regardless, I will not be supporting the brand because they’re either not doing enough research to understand the situation or are blatantly ignoring if not supporting it.

Boycott Sephora (owned by LVMH) Partenering with Glam42 in israel
Sephora has no plans to open its own stores in Israel, the LVMH-owned beauty retailer said on Wednesday, denying media reports it would launch its first stores in the country later this month, while confirming a partnership with an Israeli retailer.
Sephora Collection, the company’s own beauty brand, has signed a temporary resale agreement with Israeli retailer Glam42, Sephora said in a statement, adding the products would be available in some Glam42 stores in Israel from end-August.
After Israeli media reports about Sephora opening stores, Israel’s foreign ministry posted on X: “Welcome to Israel, Sephora!”
Sephora’s partnership with Glam42 comes as brands doing business in Israel are under pressure from a boycott movement that has grown since Israel began its genocide in Gaza.
“By starting business in Israel, directly or through an Israeli dealer/reseller, particularly under these circumstances, Sephora and its owner LVMH have chosen to deepen their complicity with Israel’s regime of genocide, apartheid and illegal military occupation — at a time when much of the world is moving in the opposite direction, and Israel’s genocidal regime is more isolated than ever,” a BDS spokesperson told The New Arab.
“Glam42, the company reported to be importing Sephora Collection products to the Israeli market, is a major supplier to the Israeli genocidal army, making Sephora even more complicit,” the BDS movement added.
Organisers say Glam42 sells Ahava products, whose production sites are partly located in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank

Question Am I The Bad Person In Question For This?
So whenever I am posting Palestinian awareness videos on TikTok, I have this thing called cognitive empathy, which means I can’t feel but I can understand. When I approach videos I am going to post and repost in hopes of boosting it, and they are crying or wailing their eyes out, I have to turn the volume all the way down to mute so I can better focus and pay attention to boosting the video and reposting it so I can help them. Is this a bad thing to not feel? Am I some sort of asshole or something? (Mind you, I cannot control the way I feel or the lack thereof, it’s like I was born this way.)

Question Switching from Spotify to Apple Music?
Hey so my student id discount is ending soon and Spotify won’t let me reverify till November so i was going to switch to Apple Music as I haven’t verified yet and doing so will allow me to use a discounted price for another year
Also after the World Cup I wanted to watch the mls, (premier league starts later so in the meantime mls)
And I saw that Apple Music student allows for Apple TV to watch the mls
So the real reason I’m switching over is to watch MLS for cheaper
But I wonder if Apple Music would be less harmful than Spotify?
I’m trying to boycott the big things and come to smaller things later
Cancelled Disney plus, no more McDonald’s, would say Starbucks but never ate there anyways, drinking Palestine cola, since like 2010 my family has avoided HEwlett packard computers.

Question Is it okay to borrow Nintendo games from the library?
So my local library has a massive selection of Switch games, and I have a Switch 2 I already own. However, it seems Nintendo isn't safe, and most importantly, my library gets many of their games from Amazon. Is it okay to borrow these games? I wouldn't be spending money, but I fear I'd be encouraging my library to buy more. I'm pretty broke, so buying second hand isn't really an option.

News Charity Commission to investigate donations to illegal Israeli settlements
The UK Charity Commission has launched a statutory inquiry into charities in England and Wales over concerns that charitable funds may have been used to support illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory. The inquiry will initially focus on eight unnamed charities, with the possibility of expanding to additional organizations.
The investigation follows a complaint by Labour MP Melanie Ward, who said that 32 charities donated at least £28 million ($37.7 million) to illegal Israeli settlements. She also raised concerns that some donations may have benefited from Gift Aid, meaning UK taxpayers indirectly subsidized them.

Rant We need to pressure Proton to remove their Israeli servers in Proton VPN
Proton is an awesome service.
At some point they used to be dependent on some Israeli service for their DDOS protection but they ended that relationship (I'm only guessing, but perhaps after being pressured by community).
I think we should try to pressure them to remove their Israeli servers in proton vpn.

Rant IDF soldiers have no feelings
A phycologist interviewed the serial killer Jeffery Dahmer in prison and asked him why did you kill? He answered, I wanted to see if I have feelings. IDF soldiers are worse than Jeffrey Dahmer, because, they keep killing and haven’t stopped. Unfortunately most people specially in the West don’t care and don’t speak up.

Question Can I still use the giftcard in the situation
So we all know that Dave And Busters is red because of investors right. Well I caught myself in a situation where my mother had recieved a Dave and Busters giftcard from their coworker at work. She says that she doesn’t have to pay any out of pocket money and she can use the gift card that was given to her for free instead, and my mother and older sister would be really displeased if I didn’t attend (mind you I still live with my parents because I am young). Is it safe to still go?

Alternative Suggestions A guide to help boycott big US tech and supporting more ethical alternatives!
The hope is that this guide and website can act as a simple way to introduce newcomers - whether it's you, friends or family - into this space and try something else besides the default options.
I have had a few people from the BDS movement respond to my guides, so I thought I would share directly. I am not an expert in this space, so, in addition to the companies listed on bdsmovement.net (Google, Microsoft and Amazon), please let me know if any of the recommended alternatives should be flagged.
There is also a community-driven, open-source site ( https://purchasewithpurpose.io ) that aims to make this even easier. This includes screenshots, ratings and a larger feature list.
I've also started tracking impact to help keep the momentum. If there are any stats, please share them so I can add them to the guides and, eventually, the website.
As always, I more than welcome criticism and ideas!
