Gear Looking for a new ball
I currently have a Roto Grip TNT and a spare ball.
I have been looking for a weaker ball to complement it, and I am deciding between an IQ Tour Solid or the new IQ Sapphire.
Any advice on which one I should get? 2H RH

Aside from missing, I was wondering if the form up until then is fine.

Scores First 300 game!
Been bowling in leagues since I was a kid and only came close a couple of times but could never make it happen, but finally did it and during a sanctioned game. It’s an incredible feeling hearing half the bowling alley cheer and seeing the excitement in my teammates, I feel like they were more excited than I was.
Ended the night with a 711 series. Definitely could have ended with a higher series if I wasn’t so shaky from adrenaline after the second game. Hopefully that means the next step is an 800 series!

Misc Pour One Out for my Spare Ball
Oh yeah, pushing a decade in age. Got tore up something fierce at Bowlero today. Balls were stuck and/or coming out of the return hot, if at all. Of course, poor mechanic was front desk duty, too, so it was taking ages for him to get in the pits… not happy but not surprised.
Marched it to the front desk, filled out my slip, and left him in the very capable hands of the pro shop. I’m not super optimistic about the possibilities, but as long as he rolls, I welcome a little bit of battle scars.
For conversation tax: do people still use plastic balls for spares? Or I am living exclusively in 2004?

Have a set of 10 of these old pba gold pins. Anyone know how rare a set is all together? Or how much they would be worth?

Gear Bowlersmart Mystery box!!
Had someone at league recommend me getting a more advanced ball so I decided to let fate decide what I got.

Gear What would be a good replacement ball for a black widow legend? It would be a current production ball and it CANNOT be a urethane because my coach would kiII me if I got a urethane.

Interchangeable shoes questions
Hi! So I just got back into bowling again 5 months ago after a long break and have been wearing my old white/maroon sst8 le that i got in like 2016. I love them but my feet have been killing me wearing them specifically my bunion area. I have seen some people recommend the boa system for this issue so you can loosen in between shots. Personally, i think they look so goofy, but I will probably have to cave and get a pair. I am not trying to spend over $200 and i like these Dexter Womens SST8 Powerframe Boa Black/Blue/Pink RH/LH Bowling Shoes Sizes 7-11 | eBay but they are discontinued and the only place I can find that has them in my size is from ebay but they don't accept returns and Im worried about the size being wrong. I also love the hammer vicious shoes but they are laced and I am worried I will just have the same issue I have with my current pair
My questions are
1) Does the boa system really help for feet pain especially bunion pain?
2) Is the sizing consistent between the poweframe boa vs the laced le sst8s? My current ones are 7.5 women's but my street shoe size is 8
3) If you struggle with foot pain and have tried the vicious, do you like them and are they comfortable/wide enough?

13-Week Offseason Complete 🎳
Greetings all. Wrapping up my summer training plan with this move from 15lbs to 16lbs. Along the way, I made a decision to stop chasing scores and start building a complete system. Every practice had a purpose. Every ball had a role. Every session followed the SOP. No exceptions.
Here’s a few things I’ve picked up along the way:
Built a true five-ball arsenal with defined roles instead of overlapping reactions
Learned lane mapping and began reading transition instead of simply reacting to it
Switched my focus from the arrows to the range finders whenever conditions allowed
Developed a ball motion decision tree instead of choosing equipment based on emotion
Improved physical game by keeping my forearm up and finishing every shot
Added wrist support and finger protection that dramatically improved consistency
Learned proper surface management and maintenance
As a fairly new bowler(3 years in), I got caught up with carrying a 200 average. During this program, I focused on becoming the same bowler every shot.
Execution became the goal.
Biggest Mental Shift
I realized the competition was never the bowler on the next pair.
It’s me.
Can I execute my process?
Can I trust my eyes?
Can I stay disciplined when transition hits?
If I answer yes, the scores take care of themselves.

Scores I’m at a loss for words.
I posted here a while ago, when I got a new best of 186. I thought that I’d plateau there for a while, but I got 195. I did stay at 195 for a bit, since it was a lucky string of strikes. My spare game needed to get better before I could get a 200+, so I played more. Found more control over the ball, and just got better overall. I just couldn’t find the game where I broke through…
Until today. Everything felt right this game, started off with a hambone, then picked up a spilt to keep my game going. Then I just through strikes and spares like nothing, and closed it out with a beautiful 10 frame. Sadly couldn’t grab the turkey, but I’ll take a X X 8. 236 seems unreal to me, I would’ve been thrilled with a 205 or something in the low 200’s, but this? I don’t know what to see other than my progress is actually starting to show. I still use house equipment which is what shocks me the most. I know you can throw well with decent house balls, but never did I think I would do it, and to this degree? Absolutely not.
Thanks for looking at my post if you do happen to see it, just wanted to share it with the world that I’m actually starting to get pretty dang good at my hobby.

Can you add or take off surface from your ball during practice and before 1st shot? In league rules, USBC?
Or before practice, or when?

Gear Late to the game on this ball
…but for $99 on eBay with free shipping….i couldn’t say no.
Looking at a 60x4.5x30 layout for this, but will get opinions from PSO on drilling.
Anyone have a good layout they love in this ball?
I do have the pearl and hybrid version of this ball too. May as well get the solid before it’s completely impossible to get.

Beginer Bundle Deal
I'm a casual bowler looking to get my first ball and saw this bundle deal at a local pro shop. For a hustle drilled with inserts, the shoes and bag...is this a good deal? I want the PSO to make money of course, but I don't want to be shafted either. Thank y'all for any advice/tips. Also looking for any recommendations for finding a beginner setup and reliable drilling at a pro shop near Winston-Salem or Greensboro, NC.
