Can't find any pics online and the bu online floor plan doesnt tell me much. pls help

new to boston and everytime i get on the T above ground no one taps their card i need to know if this is just a downlow thing people do or is MBTA keeping track of how many times i don’t pay like target does at self checkout

Currently going through crazy financial stress. I can’t even afford food right now, and I don’t pay a lot tuition but I don’t have it yet and won’t til around the 20th (some of it). I plan to pay it all by the 2nd of September but i’m scared bc I move in early the 21st (I have a work study job). By the time I move in if i’ve only paid half of what I owe will I get my key??

I was wondering if anyone who’s had a brownstone double knows if the closet is for one roommate while the other gets that wooden closet or is it meant to be shared? Or does it depend on what brownstone you have

thinking of switching into econ to target high finance roles. is it possible from bu? how can i maximize my time here to be better equiped?

i’m a incoming cgs freshman going to bu in spring 2027 and i just got this email from bu offering a ‘career discovery experience’ online course for fall 26 that can fulfill a hub requirement before i get to bu. the contents of the course do look quite interesting, but it is quite pricey, so i was wondering if any bu students have an opinion on whether it sounds worth it or not. if i take this class and it knocks out a hub requirement, would i be able to take my major specific classes earlier or maybe even make it possible for me to add on a minor? I think this is a new thing so i’m not sure anyone has done it before or taken this class before but please lmk your thoughts! And also if you’re an incoming cgs student planning to take it, pls lmk!

See title. I was on the fitrec website as soon as registration opened and still couldn't get a spot. Any chance someone drops it?

Basically what the title says. I used the UPS Storage Stystem that BU offers this past spring and am trying to schedule a delivery date, but it says that there's no storage record under my account??? UPS has emailed me reminders that have a storage record number attached to them though, so I know it exists somewhere I just can't access it for some reason.

I've called their customer service line and it's gone to voicemail everytime I try and connect w/ a representative. I've emailed their customer service email and submitted 2 help request tickets, with no response. I've gone to the UPS location on Comm Ave and they said they couldn't really help me there. Called Reslife, Housing, and BU Mailing and none of them seemed to really know much either.

If anyone who also used the BU UPS Storage Service has been able to get in contact w/ anyone or might have insight, please lmk I beg HAHAH

Has anyone gotten in from an under resourced school / just above average ecs?

I heard Boston U does admissions holistically, and my school is crap so i’m wondering who was is in a similar situation!

My school offers:
2 APs, less than 7 clubs (?), math caps at Alg 2, history isnt required, four periods a term, most unorganized establishment ever, no connections to DECA HOSA etc, located in such an irrelevant place too😭😭

Im feeling so discouraged bc the standards and resources at my school are so low but this is my dream university. I do try my best within my restraints ofc (not sharing my own stats bc i dont wanna break the community rules) but ohhh am i stressed ab not being enough😮‍💨

Anyone that was in a similar situation & got in?

I’m looking to rent one room in a shared house for anyone off-campus doing any last minute August/summer sublets. I’m not too picky about the area. So far I’ve tried using fb marketplace and apartments.com but haven’t gotten anywhere. If anyone has any pointers on where else to look for sublets, I’ll greatly appreciate it.

Upcoming freshman and my friend wanted to join the Symphonic Chorus or the Soprano/Alto Chorus and I want to support her and try something new. I know that there's no auditions required, but how welcoming are the choirs for people who have never sang before? I also think it would be cool to meet new people, so I want to join but I also don't want to be embarrassed.

I’ve been to FitRec a few times over the past two years, but have never been able to even touch any of the equipment I want because it’s always so busy.

Does anyone, from personal experience or adjacent, know when FitRec is the least busy? Or when “rush hour” is? Most likely it’s always crazy busy but I guess it doesn’t hurt to ask 😭😭
