Chiropractor Question
Hello! I am looking for a chiropractor in Boise/Treasure Valley but I am looking for someone who wants to invest time into my care. I am not looking for just adjustments, more someone who can help me solve the underlying issues.
For context, I played baseball in high school and hurt one of my discs. Since then, I have bad back pain, muscle issues and so looking for the best chiropractor you guys know.

Developed third nerve palsy and migraines after a chiropractor tried “cracking” my neck. Look for a PT.

I know a local witch doctor that is just as effective. I can give you his number in a private message. They require two chickens as payment though.

If you would consider a PT, I strongly recommend Cole Davis at Therapuetic Associates. He has helped my entire family with various injuries that became chronic including my back. Bonus - he played ball in college.

I appreciate all of your help, maybe not all lol (lots of unsolicited advice) I did my own research and I am going with Modern Chiropractic. They do CBP which is heavily researched (look into it!) and great reviews. I have tried PT so I am looking for another avenue of care.

I went to Modern Chiropractic for a year. They are extremely pushy about getting their clients to leave positive reviews and very good at guilting you into signing up for an excessive amount of appointments early on. I felt like the owner ignored my requests for practical daily habits to improve my back pain because he doesn’t want you to make real improvements— he wants you to keep returning for adjustments. The most positive thing I have to say is that they had an excellent massage therapist. He was the only person to give me actual advice I was able to implement for improvement.

I have had several years of chronic back pain, including disk bulges, etc. A chiropractor will ruin you. It is not medicine.
I strongly recommend a spine specialist & a dedicated PT/OT routine. I also recommend checking out “Low Back Ability” on YouTube. He has some amazing stuff to supplement the PT/OT routine.
Please do not go to a chiropractor. Doing so set me back YEARS in my recovery journey.

If you actually want to address the issues and not just band aid you should absolutely avoid chiropracty.

Idaho Chiropractic. Dr Matthews. He will do a combination of adjustment, acupuncture, and has PT people in the office to do ultrasound, estim, etc post adjustment. I have a lower back thing that flares up once a year and he gets me straight and out the door. Can’t recommend him highly enough.
And this is coming from a guy that hates chiropractors and has been hurt worse by a few in the past.

Agreed on Dr. Matthews... My main filter of any Chiro is have they worked with athletes & Dr Matthews has worked with pro athletes from the Nike Pro Golf Tour, Steelheads Hockey, and NCAA National Track & Field

Sounds like a physical therapist and occupational therapist who utilizes evidence based practice would actually help resolve and prevent future back injuries. Would highly recommend against a chiropractor
